The family of Mrs.Winifred, a 58 years old matron are afraid she might have been kidnapped after all effort to reach her on Friday loved abortive.
The last thing heard of the woman was that she called her ill daughter on phone to know how she was fairing. Her son, Itunu Alofoye told reporters that he learnt about her disappearance at night when his father and sister couldn't get in touch with her.
“She works with Blue Sky Hospital in Egbeda. Her medical licence expired and she went to the centre to renew it. My sister, Onor, said she spoke with her around 12.45pm on Friday. She just asked about her (Onor’s) health. Since then, her line has been switched off" said the son Itunu.
Itunu also said he had visited the center on saturday to know if she truely came to renew her licence but her name wasn't on the register.
He further said "The family moved into Igando on Wednesday, but I don’t live with them. We learnt there was an accident in the Maryland area on Friday, and we were told to go to the Gbagada General Hospital. But she was not there. We also went to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, and the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja"
The case has been reported at the Igando police station and all her details were collected. She has been practising her nursing career for 30 years now, nobody had contacted the family but there is a feeling she might have been abducted.
