Shocking! Father of Three Allows His Kids Play With His Huge 19ft Pet Python (Photos)

Shocking! Father of Three Allows His Kids Play With His Huge 19ft Pet Python (Photos)

Eric LeBlanc and his kids play with snakes

A man who is crazy about reptiles has a large collection of huge snakes and he has no problem allowing his three children to play with them.

A father allows his three young children to play with his 19ft-long python and huge lizard collection - despite the fact they have been bitten in the past.

Mirror Online reports that the man, Eric LeBlanc, is a reptile enthusiast who owns hundreds of lizards and snakes . He recently had to move dozens of the apex predators into his home when a fire at his reptile store killed some of his animals and injured many more.

Despite the danger the animals could pose he has no problem allowing his three children Erica, three, Larry, four, and Katie, seven, to handle them.

“The worst bite my daughter got was from a bearded dragon,” said Eric. “My son got bit in the forehead one time by a ball python when he was around two-years-old. He opened one of the tubs after me and basically startled it – the python jumped up and bit him on the nose.”

43-year-old Eric is in the process of repairing his decimated reptile store and is trying to raise his three children to have no fear of reptiles – particularly while many of them are living with him.

He added: “They make great pets. They don’t have fleas and are low maintenance so you don’t have to take them to a vet regularly like a dog or a cat. I have Shelby a seven-year-old albino lavender reticulated python – these are some of the biggest snakes in the world.

“Obviously the bigger the snake the bigger the teeth, so it’s dangerous – but Shelby is very placid. She is over 19ft long and believe me I know what she is capable of. When you hold her you can feel her moving you – she is like one big muscle.

“When she is playing with the kids she really pulls them. They can really feel the strength of her – you’ve got to have total respect for these animals and that’s what I have.”

Shocking! Father of Three Allows His Kids Play With His Huge 19ft Pet Python (Photos)

Despite having a laidback attitude to his children being around the animals he insists they are completely safe and would never leave them unsupervised.

Eric added: “In this country everybody has an opinion. Some people think it’s safe for kids to shoot guns. I won’t let my kids shoot guns but I’m comfortable with them being around reptiles – I guess we’re all pretty individual in how we bring our children up.”

And he believes in an old school rough-and-tumble approach to parenting.
“My kids have been bitten by pythons and dragons but they’re always fine,” added Eric. “Growing up I was bitten by snakes, dogs and lizards but my biggest accident was when I fell from a tree – anything can happen – kids will be kids.”

But there are some snakes Eric won’t allow near his children.

He added: “Every animal has a different temperament just like people – but these guys are giants who can do a lot of damage. My children have been taught how to approach them and can definitely tell if one of the animals is agitated.

“They’re really learning and know the difference between lots of different pythons and different kind of rattlesnakes – they absorb everything.”

Erica, Larry, and Katie appear to love their unconventional upbringing and have no fear of their pet reptiles.

Katie said: “I like snakes because they can be kind and gentle with you. They are nice and they don’t really try to turn around and strike at you.

“You have to start timid with them and hold it free. You need to be relaxed and know that it’s not going to hurt you.
“At first they may try and strike at you but once they know you don’t mean them any harm they’re really nice.”

Tadashi Shoji’s Fall 2016 Collection: Great For Kendall Jenner

Tadashi Shoji’s Fall 2016 Collection: Great For Kendall Jenner

Tadashi Shoji’s Fall 2016 Collection: Great For Kendall Jenner

Tadashi Shoji’s Fall 2016 collection got a sexy upgrade as the designer dared with thigh-high slits, cutouts and embellished bodysuits — they were totally hot! Check out his latest line right here.

Tadashi Shoji is known for his elegant red carpet glamour and while the designer sent a slew of red-carpet-worthy dresses down the runway on Feb. 12 during NYFW in NYC, he also took his Fall 2016 collection in an unexpected direction, sighting tribal influence as he sent a sexier line down the runway than ever before. From daring slits up to the hip, second-skin bodysuits, strategic cutouts and form-fitting silhouettes, it definitely caught our attention.

Velvet, lace and sequins were prominent on the runway. While the embellished bodysuits certainly caught our eye, the dresses, Tadashi’s signature, were definitely the major highlights. A flowing silk chiffon gown with a high slit was perfect for a premiere or award show and illusion detailing was woven throughout the collection. The hair and makeup felt very grunge.

While the collection definitely went in a different direction, there were still gorgeous gowns and frocks that long-time fans of the brand, (like Octavia Spencer!), will still want to wear on the red carpet. A long-sleeved dress with a slit reminded us of something Kendall Jenner would have hanging in her closet, while the faux fur and bodysuits screamed Jennifer Lopez.

The front row was crowded with the stylish young celeb set, as Bailee Madison, Debby Ryan and our very own NYFW guest editor, Katherine McNamara, took in the show from the front row. In fact, a lacy look with an asymmetrical hemline would look amazing on the actress. Join Amazon Prime For Free – Watch Thousands of Movies & Shows Anytime

David Mark to Oyegun: Call Daniel Onjeh to order

David Mark to Oyegun: Call Daniel Onjeh to order

The two main contenders for the Benue south senatorial seat. David Mark and Daniel Onjeh

– David Mark said Daniel Onjeh was using inflammatory statements, innuendo, abuse against him

– Mark’s team said the APC does not need to attack their principal, David Mark

– Again, the PDP accused the APC of plans to rig the re-run election

The Senator David Mark campaign organization for the February 20, 2016 Benue south rerun election has told the national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chief John Oyegun to call the party’s candidate Daniel Onjeh and his campaign team to order.

The Mark campaign organization said in Otukpo, Benue state that the continued inflammatory statements, innuendo, abuse and poor conduct of Onjeh and his campaign team ahead of the rerun election is clearly unbecoming of someone aspiring to lead.

The APC, through a certain Ogenyi Okpokwu had alleged that Senator David Mark imported some armed men into Otukpo ahead of the election.

A press statement issued by Mark’s campaign organization director media & publicity Adakole Elijah stated: “We believe very strongly that this is another APC plot to cover its antics. We cannot fall for it.  We cannot be part of this crude mentality. We demand an immediate retraction and unreserved apology forthwith.”

The statement warned that they would employ all legal, legitimate means to bring Onjeh and his team to justice.

The Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) had earlier accused the All Progressive Congress (APC)  of conniving with the police and other security operatives of plot to manipulate the process  to favour  the latter.

The PDP in a petition to the police command alleged that the APC has connived with the security operatives to arrest its coordinators  and  supporters on trumped up charges of Sundry crimes in order to put them out of circulation until the election is over.

Read the full statement below.

“We make bold to state unequivocally that we have maintained the highest level of decorum and restrain in spite of the unwarranted provocation since the campaign started.

“It is therefore instructive to remind Chief Oyegun that as a man who comes from the great Benin Kingdom the custodian of Africa rich cultural heritage where respect for elders is a grand norm, he cannot be indulging Onjeh’s ceaseless insult on our Principal.

‘The APC does not need to attack our principal. This is an election. All they need do is to tell the people what they have done or want to do. Senator Mark cannot be the APC agenda. We have an array of what we have done for the people. We cannot join issues with them.

“Our people have now seen the difference between what our principal stands for and what the APC wants to do in Benue South. They have seen how Senator Mark influences human capital development, attracting a university to Benue South, multi billion naira Otobi water dam to address the water and electricity problems in the area, the legendary Oweto/Loko bridge to facilitate movement of goods and services as well as annual scholarship to students under David Mark scholarship Foundation among others. These are verifiable facts.

“We do not need a resort to self-help to win elections. Our people are now convinced that external forces cannot determine their destiny. They know that Senator Mark represents Idoma dreams. They have decided once again to vote for Senator Mark.

“We also need to remind Security operatives to be on the alert as the APC in Benue state is perfecting plan to unleash mayhem on Benue south during and after the elections.

“Credible information reaching us indicates that the APC is said to be sewing camouflage army and police uniforms for thugs during the election.

“But what they must know by now is that our people have resolved to take their destiny in their hands. And no amount of intimidation or external forces can change their resolve to vote for Senator a Mark.

“A forth night ago, the Benue State PDP Chairman, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo alerted the security operatives of the grand design by the APC to sew fake Army uniforms  for thugs to use during the election. The matter is being investigated.”

Central Bank of Nigeria

The CBN has added overseas school fees and medical tourism on CBN’s foreign exchange prohibitive list. Nigerians who may need to go outside the country for education purpose or health care will have to get the foreign currency from the parallel market to carry out their engagements.

This reason for this new development could not be ascertained but it may not be unconnected to the weakening state of the Nigerian currency against the dollar on the parallel market.

Yoruba group, OPC, lambasts Benin chiefs over comment on Oduduwa history

Yoruba group, OPC, lambasts Benin chiefs over comment on Oduduwa history

The Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) has accused Benin palace chiefs of distorting Oduduwa history, saying their comments were capable of triggering discord between the Yoruba and people of the Benin Kingdom.

The group also said the research being relied on by the chiefs to deny the relationship between people of the two races lacked credibility.

The National Coordinator of the congress, Gani Adams, said in a press statement made available to PREMIUM TIMES on Friday that the comments credited to the palace chiefs about Yoruba origin were unhistorical and unreliable.

Mr. Adams said such poorly researched claims lacked historical credibility, could be inflammatory and could set the two noble race against each other.

He said the relationship between ”the Yoruba Omo Oduduwa and the Edo was rooted in history and shrouded in mystery in other to keep the two vibrant nations together and oil the chord of communal relationship for ever.”

“Even, though some writers of historical documents about the relationship and chord of brotherhood between the two have allowed personal sentiments and pecuniary consideration to overrule their sense of judgement, clarity, fairness, objectivity and harmonious cohabitation. And the purported statement from an high chief of Benin belong to this trend,” the OPC leader said.

“We should not indulge in diluted information coined by agents of destabilization which emphasised those things that divide us instead of talking of those things that unite us.”

‘Whatever angle or point of view any writer come out with in this discourse, the fact remains constant that there is a bond of relationship which is not fleeting but fundamentally essential between the Yoruba Omo Oodua and the Edo Omo Eweka the Great.”

He appealed to the traditional institutions in Benin and Ile-Ife to be wary of palace chiefs who he said were only out to pitch the two noble royal houses against each other by their sheer impetuosity and face service.”

Mr. Adams commended the royal sagacity and visionary posture of the Ooni of Ife, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, not only for remaining calm, but for refusing to “dignify the sender of those ill-researched statements with any response”.

“I must also commend the political maturity and sagacity being displayed by the Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, who has been consistent in his peace diplomacy shuttle among the traditional Obas in Yoruba land which has kicked – off a brand new era of harmonious relationship among the Obas in the south – west,” Mr. Adams said.

He warned those he described as ”scripters of divisive statements, the procurer of false history and the spreader of ill -researched historical fallacy to put a stop in their unholy act and allow peace, unity, harmony and era of brotherly interaction take control among the traditional rulers in the South West including their sibling in Edo State.”

”We are warning them to stop sowing seeds of discord among the Omo Oduduwa and their siblings in Edo State,” the OPC leader said.

The Ooni of Ife had on Tuesday said Benin Kingdom in Edo State remained part of the expansive Yoruba race, a pronouncement that may spark fresh rivalry and altercation between people of the two ancient kingdoms.

The monarch made the comment in reaction to a statement credited to the palace of the Oba of Benin challenging the claim by the Alake of Egbaland, Adedotun Gbadebo, that the Ooni of Ife remained the pre-eminent spiritual leader in Yorubaland and environs.

Oba Ogunwusi, via a statement by his Director of Media and Public Affairs, Moses Olafare, had said he was not interested in any supremacy battle with anyone but that he would continue to put the records straight and avoid distortion of history from any quarters.

The monarch said going by historical evidence detailing the Oduduwa lineage, Benin Kingdom remained part and parcel of Oduduwa House.

“We in Oduduwa land have always seen and regarded our people in Benin kingdom as part and parcel of Oduduwa House. They are our brothers and sisters, coupled with historical facts to back up this position,” Ooni Ogunwusi said.

The Alake had, while hosting the Oba Ogunwusi in his palace on February 7, rated the Ooni as the number one monarch in Yorubaland and other territories considered part of the Oduduwa House.

In his rating, Oba Gbadebo said Oba Ogunwusi was number one of the five principal Obas in Yorubaland, followed by the Alaafin of Oyo, then by the Oba of Benin (in third position), the Alake of Egbaland (fourth) and the Awujale of Ijebuland (fifth).

But in a swift reaction on Tuesday, the Esogban of Benin and Odionwere of the Kingdom, David Edebiri, rejected the ranking, saying the Ooni of Ife was a son of the Oba of Benin and that the Oba of Benin stool has no relationship with the Yoruba race.

The Esogban said, “We wanted to discard this report as something that was not necessary at all. We do not see how the Alake of Egbaland suddenly woke up to think that the Oba of Benin is also a Yoruba Oba.

“There is no basis for such classification; Oba of Benin has nothing to do with the Yoruba Obas. It is simply unnecessary, unless they simply want to stir up an unnecessary controversy.

“We are not in Yorubaland. To be frank, it is because many of them are not willing to come up with the truth, the word Oba is alien to Yoruba monarchy; it is not part of their title from time immemorial.

“For instance, the one they call the Oba of Lagos, these are recent adaptations. In the 50s, there was no Oba of Lagos, what we had was the Eleko of Eko. That is the title of the King there. In Ibadan, you have the Olu Ibadan. You come to Abeokuta, you have the Alake of Egba land. You come to Oyo, you have the Alaafin of Oyo. In Ilesha, you have the Owa-Obokun of IIesha. So no Yoruba monarch had as part of his titles the word Oba except the Oba of Benin.

“That word Oba is indigenous to Benin. It is only in recent times you find everybody bearing Oba. When the Western Regional conference of traditional rulers took place in Benin City in 1942, go and check the attendance, there was no other monarch in the whole of the Western Region then that bore the title of Oba, except the Oba of Benin.

“So it is an unnecessary excursion, an unnecessary attempt to turn history upside down by the Alake by classifying the Oba of Benin as third in the hierarchy of kings.

“Our own traditional history says that the Ooni of Ife was a Benin Prince who wandered from here to Ife, settled there and became the ruler there. That is the position, if they don’t know, they should send people here; we will teach them.

“We will show them landmarks. So this is unnecessary misrepresentation of history. Maybe the Alake wanted to mention a different place and not Benin.

“The monarchical rulership in this part of the world started from Benin during the era of the Ogisos. It was the son of the last Ogiso, Owodo, that wandered from here to Ife and he became a ruler there, carrying everything about the Benin monarchical system to that place. There is no basis for such classification.

“The Ooni of Ife, by historical facts, is a son of the Oba of Benin, so they are not in the same class. The Oba of Benin is the only one that answers Oba, the rest don’t. But today, we hear Oba here and there, they are all recent adaptations. I am saying categorically that the word Oba is indigenous to Benin and not to Yoruba nation.”

We've Discovered 850 Ghost Workers Collecting Salaries - Obiano

We've Discovered 850 Ghost Workers Collecting Salaries - Obiano

Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano

The Governor of Anambra state has disclosed that its administration has uncovered 850 ghost workers collecting the state's money for free.

The Anambra state government says it has uncovered 850 ghost workers in the bid to eliminate waste in its expenditure.

This was made public by Governor Willie Obiano Thursday evening in an interactive session with news men in the state. The ghost workers he said were collecting money for a work they never did.

He said: “We are one of the four states in the country that are still paying regular salaries to our workers and carrying out meaningful projects because of prudent management of our resources in the midst hard times,” Obiano said.

“It’s not rocket science. We’ve been able to achieve all these by eliminating waste. If I was getting 100 percent of Federal allocation when I assumed office in 2014, it’s now 27 percent.”

Obiano said his government will put more emphasis on Agriculture, Trade and Commerce, Industrialization and Oil and Gas. He revealed that the Internally Generated Revenue of the state had improved from N500 million per month where he met it to an average of N1.2 billion monthly.

He said his adminstration will continue to do its best to tackle unemployment, and improve electricity.

He promised that the power station in Nnewi which had reached 60 per cent completion would soon come on stream.

While commenting on the state of the roads, the governor assured citizens of the state of government support. He regretted that the reconstruction of the Enugu-Onitsha expressway was not captured in the 2016 Federal Government budget, Obiano implored the President Muhammad Government to reconsider work on the road to reduce the suffering of the people.

He called on all citizens of the state to support him and remain peaceful as he steers the wheels of the state for their own benefit. He warned those hoping to reap where they did not sow to stop it as they will be handed over for appropriate sanctions.

Responding on behalf of the journalists, the Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel in the state, Mr Emma Ndukuba assured the governor of effective reportage of the state within the ambit of professional practice.

N30m Aso Rock Rent: Babangida, Obasanjo, Others React

Following the recent breakdown of the 2016 budget, especially the allocations made to the Aso Rock villa, which shows that the Presidential Villa has a fixed rent price of N30.8 million, former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, has questioned the reason behind the decision, stressing that he built the Aso Rock during his tenure, wondering who the landlord is that the President will pay the said amount to.

N30m Aso Rock Rent: Babangida, Obasanjo, Others React

“I built Aso Rock and I wonder who the current Landlord is. I read a certain N22M for the payment of Aso Rock rent. Rent to who, Me or GEJ? He said.

Babangida who also condemned the N1.7 billion budgeted for food by the President, stressed that politicians are well fed, maintaining that the Presidential Villa is not a place to feed politicians.

“I strongly believe our Politicians are well fed. The Aso Rock food budget should be reviewed. Aso Rock is not a place to feed Politicians”. Babangida bemoaned.

Also reacting to the brouhaha rocking the 2016 budget, former President Olusegun Obasanjo called on President Muhammadu Buhari to review the Aso Rock food budget.

“President Buhari should review the Aso Rock food budget. Anybody that wants to visit the Villa should eat before leaving their house”. Obasanjo said.

However, the former leaders of Nigeria were not the only people that aired their views on the budget, as other Nigerians on Social Media network, Twitter, expressed their opinions with some describing the 2016 budget as a ‘Budget of Corruption’ aimed at sustaining the flamboyant lifestyle of public officials.

See the Face of the Man Who Blackmails Well Established Pastors (Photo)

Suspected fraudster, Festus Balogun

A man has been apprehended by security operatives for blackmailing established men of God.

A 44-year-old suspected fraudster, Festus Balogun, has told the police in Akure, Ondo State that he usually blackmails men of God to make ends meet, New Telegraph reports.

According to him, his victims include Pastor Samuel Abiara and Prophet Samson Oluwamodede. Balogun, who has several names such as Festus Emmanuel, Smart and Olabode, was nabbed along with other suspects.

The state Commissioner for Police, Mr. Mike Ogbodu, said the suspect, who resided at No 5, Ipobe Street, Cotonou, was arrested on January 28. Ogbodu, who spoke while parading suspected criminals yesterday, disclosed that the suspect had been on the watch list of the police.

The commissioner said Balogun released a compact disk (video) entitled: “Asiri Tu” which means “Secret exposed,” accusing 12 pastors of involving in rituals, killing and other fetish acts.

He said: “Some prominent men of God numbering 12 namely: Pastor Samson Oluwamodede of Prayer Centre Church of God, Idanre Road, Akure and Pastor Samuel Kayode Abiara, the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide and 10 others engaged him to kill for them to gain spiritual power.” The police chief noted that the suspect denied all the claims he made in the video clip during the course of investigation.

According to him, Balogun confessed that he was pushed into the crime for monetary gains. “He also denied that he ever killed for any of the pastors as alleged neither has he ever been in contact with any one of them.

“It is pertinent to mention that the content of the video CD has caused suspicion and disaffection in the churches mentioned. Our detectives are presently on the trail of the producer of the video CD.

“However, he confessed to the crime saying he engaged in the act in order to feed his family after he left prison some years ago.
He said he never met any of the pastors but wanted to use their names to make money,” the commissioner said. Balogun said the marketer of the video promised to give him N300, 000 but did not get any money until he was caught.

The blackmailer, Balogun, while speaking with journalists, confessed to the crime and admitted that he was convicted for cultism and was sent to Kirikiri Maximum Prison.

Monarch May Be Docked Over Supremacy Battle

Monarch May Be Docked Over Supremacy Battle

Gov. Ayodele Fayose

Sequel to the persistent supremacy battle between them, a first class traditional ruler, the Ogoga of Ikere Ekiti, Oba Adejimi Adu, may sue
his rival, the Olukere of Ikere, Oba Ganiyu Obasoyin , to seek redress and lay the long-drawn tussle  to rest.

Olukere has been having a running battle with Ogoga over who is the real king, which culminated in the tearing of Oba Ganiyu’s billboard
erected in the heart of the town last week.

Briefing newsmen in Ikere Ekiti on Friday on the recent protest over the destruction of the billboard, which Olukere had blamed Governor
Ayodele Fayose of allegedly supervised , Ogoga pleaded with the people to eschew violence, assuring that such won’t be tolerated again in the town.

The monarch warned his rival to stop parading himself as a king, saying he remains a classless chief, whose job is to appease the gods.

“Olukere is being misled because none of his predecessor   flexed muscle with me. But if all alternative means of resolving this matter
fail, then I shall go to court to seek redress, because I can’t allow this to continue”.

The Odolofin of Ikere kingdom, Chief Ayodele Alonge, who spoke on behalf of Ogoga-in-Council,  insisted that his rival, who is laying
claim to founding the town remain the chief priest and occupy number 44 in the chieftaincy hierarchy.

Nigeria Will Shake If I Open Up on Jonathan's Administration - Arrested Ex-ADC Reveals to EFCC

Nigeria Will Shake If I Open Up on Jonathan's Administration - Arrested Ex-ADC Reveals to EFCC

Goodluck Jonathan and his Vice, Namadi Sambo decorating his ADC as Colonel

Another Dasukigate may be imminent if what transpired in Goodluck Jonathan's administration is revealed as EFCC arrests the ex president's former ADC who is said to give mind-boggling confessions.

A former aide-de-camp to President Goodluck Jonathan, Col. Ojogbane Adegbe, who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday in Lagos where he went through rigorous interrogations, has warned that another Dasukigate may be imminent if he is forced to reveal what transpired in that administration.

It was gathered that Adegbe who was flown to Abuja yesterday after being interrogated in Lagos, could open up a new can of worms, which 'could surpass what is now known as Dasukigate.'

According to an insider who disclosed to The Sun, they are hopeful the former ADC may soon give details of all he knows with regards to financial transactions and the dramatic personae involved in the last administration.

Preliminary findings, including recovered documents, were said to have suggested a large-scale of questionable expenditure with funds sourced from and outside the arms purchase deals.

Another source told the newspaper that, "most of the funds were reportedly diverted soon after the election was postponed from the originally scheduled date of February 14, 2015 to March 28, 2015."

Among the active participants in the alleged loot, was a top official of an agency set up to discourage militancy in the South-South, who is currently outside the country.

At the centre of the interrogation of the former ADC, who has been moved to Abuja, was the "mind-boggling spending" during the two weeks’ extension of the general election, "which runs into several trillions of naira, when converted from foreign currency."

Sources disclosed further that many top Nigerians, "including some very close persons" to the former president, may likely be called to explain and defend their roles in the handling of the funds, a chunk of which was sourced from the agency.

The ADC who was arrested in Lagos a few days ago, was alleged to be attending a senior officers course when he was picked up for interrogation.
