Exposed! the 'Real Reason' Why Buhari Went on 5-Day Leave
Reports have it that there is more to Buhari's sudden 5 days' leave which will see his Vice-President, Osinbajo assume his duties till the President's return.
President Muhammadu Buhari today, began a five-day vacation, to end on February 10, spokesman Femi Adesina said in a press statement but emerging details reveal he has health concerns concealed by his close associates.
A SaharaReporters source has revealed that during his visit to the United Kingdom, President Buhari will undertake a visit to medical doctors in a London hospital.
A presidency source said President Buhari agreed to participate in a Syrian solidarity that ended yesterday because it provides a perfect cover for the medical visit.
The source further said there has been a debate within the presidency about the medical visit, with some of his handlers arguing that the Syria meeting provides a perfect alibi as the President should not be seen to be sick less than one year after taking power.
It might be recalled that following the six-week postponement of the presidential election, Mr. Buhari spent a prolonged period in London, reportedly to rest. He subsequently spent another nine days in London to meet with his doctors, returning only one day before his inauguration.
According to the current schedule, President Buhari will return home next weekend if everything goes well.
The controversial online news platform had revealed that Mr. Buhari’s personal physician, Suhayb Sanusi Rafindadi, has been playing a prominent role in preparing him for foreign trips in recent months.
Upon his return from London, the President will embark on another trip to the Middle East, visiting Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Unbelievable! Woman Storms Her Own Funeral to Attack Husband Who Paid Hitmen to Kill Her
A woman left people utterly socked and running away in fear when she turned up for her own funeral to attack her husband who had paid to have her killed.
A woman gave her husband the fright of his life by turning up to her own funeral after he had arranged to have her killed.
Mirror Online writes that the husband, Balenga Kalala, of Melbourne, paid a team of hitmen £3,500 to take out his wife Noela Rukundo because he thought she was cheating on him.
Kalala, who has lived in Australia since arriving as a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2004, planned to have the mother of his three children murdered as she attended her stepmother’s funeral in Burundi early last year.
The hitmen then told Kalala the deed was done, and he informed the family she died in an accident in Africa.

I Don't Know Why I Came to Rule Now - President Buhari
In a gathering in London, Buhari lamented on the falling oil price and corruption in the country which has marred his plans to create a cushioning effect for the hardship experienced in Nigeria.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said that with the quantum of problems his administration inherited, he sometimes wondered why he had to seek power at this time, according to the Punch.
Buhari spoke in London while addressing members of the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom.
A correspondent obtained a transcript of the President’s address to the gathering on Friday.
Buhari said he wondered why oil, which used to sell for over $140 per barrel, would reduce to $30 per barrel during his time as the President.
Notwithstanding the problem, however, Buhari said he kept praying to God to be merciful to the over 170 million Nigerians who are exposed to poverty, illiteracy and other social ills.
He said, “With the problems we have in this government, I sometimes wonder. At least, this time around, I asked for it, I prayed for it, I went round the country and I asked for it. But the first time under the military, I allowed the military to take decision.
“But I say why me? Why is it that it is when they have spent all the money, when they made the country insecure that I returned?
“Why didn’t I come when the treasury was full? Oil price was over $140 per barrel and when I came, it slipped down to $30. Why me?
“I keep on praying to God to pity Nigeria and its over 170 million people who are exposed to climate change, illiteracy and poverty.”
The President, however, said his administration had succeeded in mopping up over N2.2trn as of January through the Treasury Single Account arrangement.

Suswam Indicted, To Account For N107 Billion
The Justice Kpojime Commission of Inquiry into the income and expenditure of Benue State from 2007 to 2015 has recommended that 52 individuals and 10 corporate bodies should refund over N107 billion to the coffers of the state government.
It also recommended deeper investigation and possible refund of over N44 billion. These recommendations were contained in the report which the Chairman of the commission, Justice Elizabeth Kpojime submitted to Governor Samuel Ortom at the Benue Peoples House, yesterday.
She disclosed that during the period covered by the assignment, N1.21 trillion accrued to the state from about 27 identified sources out of which N802 billion was appropriated while N219 billion was expended but not appropriated.
“Out of the total revenue that accrued to the state, only 15 percent thereof was allocated to capital expenditure, while 85 percent was for recurrent expenditure.
“The little amount allocated to capital expenditure was characterized by lack of due diligence in contract awards, contracts inflation, abandonment of projects after collecting payments as well as payments for jobs not done, while there were multiple payments for same jobs,” Justice Kpojime stated.
According to her, the management of the huge recurrent expenditure was even worse as financial instructions and regulations were completely set aside, examples of which she said include outright theft of public revenue such as the payment of N3.11 billion out of the proceeds of the sale of government shares into a private account.
Receiving the report, Governor Ortom commended the commission for a diligent and painstaking job done within the time frame given to it.
He said he would set up a white paper drafting committee immediately assuring that the white paper would be implemented to the latter.

France Bans Food Waste, To Give Food To Charities and Food Banks
Instead, they’ll have to give all of this food to charities and food banks, which will provide the hungry with millions of more meals. Just a 15% increase in donated food will mean 10 million more meals per year.
A recent spike in France’s unemployed and homeless populations has caused more families to forage for food. To stop people from going through store dumpsters, some managers have resorted to pouring bleach over everything or using locks to make the food impossible to get.
The law will put an end to this cruel behavior by imposing contracts on super markets that, if violated, will lead to hefty fines and even prison sentences. Worldwide, too much food is thrown away and it should rightly be viewed as a crime.

Police avert PDP, APGA clash in Abuja
It took the intervention of a team of policemen from Kuje station to settle fracas between supporters Peoples Democratic Party and those of the All Progressive Grand Alliance.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, trouble started over anattempt to remove the campaign billboard with the image of Mr Shabab Tete, the council chairman who is seeking re-election on the platform of the PDP.
The billboard was mounted in front of the Council secretariat.
Speaking on the clash, Kuje PDP Youth Leader, Adamu Dogo, told NAN that the billboard was mounted by some PDP supporters who later decamped to APGA.
Dogo said the fight started when the decamped members attempted to replace the board with the image of Haruna Yerima, the APGA candidate, in the forthcoming election.
Dogo told NAN that APGA supporters had no right to change the image on the board.
“The billboard was mounted by PDP and the APGA people have no right to remove the image of our candidate, and put their own.
“Even if the decamped supporters of PDP were among those that mounted the billboard, the finance came from the ruling party, PDP.
“They should wait till after March 19 after the people have decided who they want as Kuje Chairman,’’ he said.

Melaye: Jonathan, Diezani, Secondus benefitted from illegal allocation of land in Abuja
Uche Secondus, acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Mohammed Adoke, the immediate past attorney-general of the federation; Isa Yuguda, former Bauchi state governor; Olusegun Aganga, former minister of trade and investment; and Andrew Azazi, former national security adviser, who is now late, were also mentioned. Dino Melaye, chairman of the senate committee on FCT, disclosed this on Friday during the budget defence of the ministry of the FCT.
Describing the allocation of the lands as illegal, Melaye said steps were being taken to reverse them. “I cannot understand in a very sane and responsible society, why some selected and powerful few will appropriate our common patrimony to themselves,” he said.
“A landmark like the Mataima Hills. I went there I almost wept. The directors were there. Roads being constructed between plantations and green trees.
“The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria just came back from a summit on climate change and discussions there is for everybody to go back and make the environment green and when we are asking that we should improve on green areas because of climatic and environmental conditions, you are now sharing the available ones.
And this one is not just an ordinary area but a hill that has historical importance. “Unfortunately, these lands have been allocated and shared among the so-called powerful Nigerians.
This is absurd! This is wicked! This is treacherous! This is unacceptable. 30 individuals and companies shared among themselves.” He added that the 8th senate would not tolerate any move to change Abuja and urged Mohammed Bello, the current minister of FCT, to ensure that the original plan for Abuja was restored.
“The beautiful Maitama Hill has been dissipated and shared by people who refer to themselves as powerful Nigerians,” he said. “This is not acceptable to the 8th Senate and to this committee and this committee, in the interest of Nigerians, will not allow any construction to continue on the Maitama Hill.
“Apart from the fact that we have stopped work, the green there must be replanted and the trees immediately restored. “We will not, out of fear, refuse to do our work. So, this morning, I will announce to Nigerians the powerful Nigerians, who shared the Maitama Hill among themselves and we will not stop at that.
“Nigeria belongs to us, the FCT is the beauty of this country, modelled after the Capital of Brazil.”

JUST IN: Dokpesi begs Tinubu for forgiveness
Raymond Dokpesi, founder of DAAR Communications, has tendered an apology to Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) over ‘Lion of Bourdillon’, a documentary aired on African Independent Television (AIT) in the buildup to the 2015 election.
Tinubu had filed a N150 billion libel suit against DAAR Communications, alleging that the documentary was libelous and aimed at tarnishing his image.
In turn, DAAR Communications filed a counter-suit of N200 billion as aggravated, punitive and exemplary damages against Tinubu.
Dokpesi had claimed that the documentary was not false and that its contents were facts that had been in the public domain for more than two decades.
He said AIT, as a member of the fourth estate of the realm, was empowered by section 22 of the constitution to, at all times, hold those in government accountable and responsible.
The matter, which was brought before Iyabo Akinkugbe of the Lagos high court sitting in Ikeja, was later referred to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in December.
At the resumed proceedings on Monday, Mike Ozekhome, counsel to Dokpesi, informed the court of his client’s wish to settle the matter out of court, and Wole Olanipekun, counsel to Tinubu, did not object.
The judge adopted the terms of settlement, which included a retraction of the broadcast on a daily basis over a period of a quarter, and an apology letter signed by Dokpesi.
In compliance with the agreement, Dokpesi issued the letter, which content was made public Friday.
“Daar Communications Plc, acknowledges that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is an outstanding political leader of unblemished character and integrity, as well as a leading public figure and opinion moulder who has made and continues to make immense, colossal and gargantuan contributions to the progress and development of the nation in general and Lagos State in particular.
“Daar Communication Plc admits that in airing the said documentary, it had no intention whatsoever to embarrass or diminish the high reputation of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu which it respects and attests to.
“Daar Communications Plc hereby makes a public and unequivocal retraction of the said documentary titled ‘Lion of Bourdilon’, which was broadcast on its television station, AIT.
“Daar Communications Plc hereby tenders unreserved apology to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the broadcast of the documentary on its television station, AIT.
“Daar Communications Plc prays that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will live long to make more enormous contributions to the advancement of our nation, Nigeria, Lagos State and the world at large.”

Nigerian Soldier Attempts to Rob Filling Station in Abuja with Rifle Obtained from Boko Haram (Photo)
A military man has been arrested during a robbery operation that would have fetch him millions of Naira at a filling station in Abuja.
One of the soldiers fighting Boko Haram insurgents in the North has been arrested for attempting to rob a filling station in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, according to New Telegraph.
The suspect, Abel Solomon (30), said the operation would have fetched him N20 million if it had scaled through.
The robbery operation plan was ruined by the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT), led by a Chief Superintendent of Police, Abba Kyari.
Solomon and his accomplices were arrested while still fine-tuning their plan. He confessed that the pump action rifle recovered from him, which he wanted to use for the robbery operation, belonged to a Boko Haram insurgent.
According to him, after one of their encounters with Boko Haram members, he had taken and buried the rifle. When he and his accomplices started brainstorming on how to rob the filling station, he went and unearthed the rifle. He said he had served at the 58 and 509 Signal Regiments before moving to 143 Battalion in 2014.
The suspect, who said he joined the Nigerian Army in 2005, added that: “After our training at Katangura, Niger State, we were deployed to Adamawa State to fight Boko Haram insurgents. After engaging the insurgents, we normally retrieve all weapons abandoned by the insurgents.
"That was how I found a pump action rifle abandoned by the insurgents. I buried it in the bush.”

Gov. Rochas Okorocha Accused of Trafficking Human Organs...See Shocking Details
Governor Okorocha of Imo State has been accused of involvement in an international illegal trade of human organs which has led to a protest by the leadership of the Nigerian Medical Practitioners.
In a startling allegation, the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA in Imo State have accused Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha of trafficking in human organs, allegedly with his collaborators in Kosovo, Turkey, Croatia and other countries, the Nigerian Pilot reports.
The Chairman, Private and General Medical Practitioners in the state, Dr Philip Njemanze, made the allegation during a press conference after an emergency meeting of the association in Owerri, the state capital.
Njemanze said, “For the first time in human history, a government has declared itself an organ trafficking cartel. Imo state government is using the state health facilities to facilitate organ trafficking network.
“Foreign collaborators of the state government from Turkey, Kosovo, Croatia and others are already here in Imo to perfect creation of the network. It is an international network with Rochas as its local head. A former prime minister of Kosovo is the head of organ trafficking in Europe and he is a friend of Okorocha.”
Dr Njemanze alleged that the recent trips of governor Okorocha to Turkey, Kosovo, Croatia and other Latin American and Asian countries as well as the building of the new 27 general hospitals in the state, are steps by the governor to consummate the organ trafficking business in the state.
When Nigeria Pilot contacted Sam Onwuemedo, the Senior Media Adviser to Governor Okorocha, he explained through a text message that it “is an old story that is being handled by the DSS”.
The Association had ordered its members in all public hospitals in the state to commence a three-day warning strike in protest over the anti-life policies of the state governor, which led to alleged shooting of their colleague, Dr Bede Azudialo, during the peaceful protest rally.

But, at the Bariga Police Station, a policeman discovered that the 18-year-old was among those wanted by the police in connection with the killing of a 20-year-old man, Imohlede Asije.
Asije was allegedly killed by Agbeyomi and his gang sometime in October, 2015, at a party on Oluwafere Street, Bariga.

It was revealed that after the murder, the police have been looking for ways to arrest Agbeyomi without success until he was brought to the station by fate. The case of the arrested murder suspect was transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba.
On his own part, Agboyemi said even though he belonged to a cult while in secondary school, he didn't kill the man he is being accused of killing.
He said, “I did not kill him. We attended the same secondary school and we were friends. I have known him for a long time. It is true that I am a cult member, but I did not kill him. I belong to the Aiye Confraternity, while he was a member of the Eiye Confraternity. On the day he died, I was at home and did not attend the party where he was killed. I just heard like every other person.
“I am an aluminium apprentice and because of some things, I was not going to work. My elder brother, who was not happy with my behaviour decided to use the police to teach me a lesson. On Tuesday last week, he handed me over to the police and it was while I was there that they brought up this matter.”

Nigerians May Starve to Death by 2050 - Agriculture Minister, Audu Ogbeh Raises Alarm
Nigeria's minister of Agriculture has issued a startling warning as the interest in Agriculture and agricultural practices continue to dwindle
Chief Audu Ogbeh, the Minister of Agriculture, yesterday, warned that Nigerians were at the risk of starving to death by 2050 if nothing was done to ensure all-year-round farming.
According to Daily Post, the minister made this disclosures when he defended the 2016 budget proposal of his ministry before the joint Committee on Agriculture.
The Minister said the present mode of farming in Nigeris was incapable of sustaining increasing population in the country. He said there was an urgent need for all stakeholders in the agricultural sector to work towards improving mechanised farming and irrigation in order to ensure all-year-round farming that will avert the problem.
“We have written to state governments to encourage them to develop dams and canals so that agriculture becomes an all-year-round activity and it is not confined to the rainy season alone.
“Four or five months of farm activity cannot sustain the country for 12 months. Besides, by 2050, Nigeria’s population will be very close to 500 million, going by the current rate of growth.
“This is just 34 years from now. If we carry on at the current rate of one crop per year and very low mechanisation, Nigeria runs a risk of starving to death,’’ he said.
Ogbeh also said the current crisis between herdsmen and rural farmers was a major setback for the agricultural sector in the country.
