Actress Sobola Sotayo talks about the Man that gave her a new G-Wagon

You would always fall in love with her pretty face. A good dresser too, you cannot but notice Tayo Sobola aka Sotayo in a crowd. A Nollywood actress in the Yoruba genre, she is still making headlines on the all-white party she hosted on December 30, 2016. Tagged ‘A December To Remember,’ Sotayo sure had a memorable birthday party when she was presented with a G-wagon! Who gave her? In this exclusive interview with Kemiashefonlovehaven, she unveils her benefactor.

Again, happy birthday to you and congrats on your new car

Sotayo: Thank you.

What prompted the 5-in-one all-white party?

Sotayo: Really,  the 5-in-1 event was packaged to celebrate my production outfit, Sotee Entertainment’s 1st anniversary; my birthday which was on December 28; the exhibition of movies and projects my production company had undertaken in the last one year; the unveiling of my film academy and as well as the end-of-the-year party for staff members, families and friends.

And you got a Benz G-wagon as a surprise gift?

Sotayo: I was surprised during my party when I was asked to come and take a look at the vehicle.

Who was the kind man who did this?

Sotayo: Man? It was a surprise gift and I cannot say if the giver was a man or woman. That day, just like other guests, I was extremely surprised and kept asking who brought it. Till date, I have not heard from or seen the giver. I'm highly favoured of God and I see God as my benefactor.

You have achieved much in a few years of coming to entertainment, what would you say has thrown you in the limelight?

Sotayo: I give God the almighty all the glory for bringing me this far. It’s funny and unfortunate that many people see me as a newcomer in the industry. I’ve been there, done that in the last 10 years in the Nigerian entertainment industry. I’ve modeled, sang, I write for magazines and websites, I have done artistes liaison, I’ve presented on TV and just settling for acting. I believe my success rose on my goodwill and my relationship with many industry top guns whom I relate with, with uttermost humility.

What's the next phase especially with your film academy?

Sotayo: The idea behind the film academy was borne out of my desires to impact in the younger ones, many of who usually approached me to help them. I consulted some of the industry’s professionals like Antar Laniyan who promised to give me all the supports I need to make it a success. So I decided that it will be good to start an academy which will teach various aspects of filmmaking and not just acting.

You are not getting younger, when will wedding bells ring? Who is the lucky guy?

Sotayo: Marriage is a long term commitment which needs serious preparations. One can’t rush or jump into it because of the society. If you do, you might rush out the way you rush in. This much is evident in lots of marriages that are crashing lately. The economic situations and pressure is not helping matters so one needs to be sure one is fully ready. Regarding the lucky guy, I’m keeping that under wrap for now because it’s not wise flaunting this right now. The wedding bells will ring at the right time.

So many actresses will go nude to become popular, can you join the bandwagon?

Sotayo: No, I can’t. I’m not cut out for such.

Where do we expect Sotayo to be in five years?

Sotayo: Right at the very top. My dream is to have fully established my company and churn out many fresh talents through my Film Academy. What can give one the uttermost joy is to impact and invest in people and see them doing well for themselves.

Be Inspired! This Bayelsa girl drives KEKE to raise money for School (photos)

Pictured below is 26 year old Peace Orukari from Kalama compound, Sabageria Community in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

She drives tricycle a.k.a ‘Keke’ to raise money for her education. The young entrepreneur entered into the business due to how tough life has been for her and her family.

Peace had struggled to finish secondary school selling recharge cards and hawking oranges.

She told BodmasNews that she still lives with her parents and her younger ones and since she went into entrepreneurship, life has been more easy for them.

When asked what pushed her into all of this, she explained that while in secondary school, there were challenges of finance to register for WAEC and other fees, she then went to some big politicians she knew as community leaders then, but they demanded sex before they could help her.

Seeing that she could not stoop herself so low, she began hawking oranges and selling recharge cards which she did for about five years, supporting her family with it.

The income was not still enough as she also wanted to further her eduction to the university, Peace then met one of her customers who buys cards from her, a keke driver, and pleaded with him to teach her.

At first he was reluctant but he later did.

After she had learnt, she then made moves to get a "KEKE" where she could submit returns after use, which she did and since then, has been driving it.

She further narrated that driving the "KEKE" has helped improve their conditions, her younger ones were now comfortable, they could pay their rent without difficulty and she was also saving for her education.
When Bodmasnews asked Peace Orukari about her challenges driving the keke, her reply was that she needed funds to get her own Keke. Apart from that, she had no other challenges.

Woman almost dies after husband forces rolling pin inside her 'for being infertile' (Graphic photos)

A woman was left close to death after her "drunk" husband allegedly forced a 40cm rolling pin inside her because she was infertile.

The 38-year-old woman was admitted to hospital in India on Christmas Day after complaining of severe abdominal pains and swelling.

Eventually a team of five doctors operated and were left horrified to find a rolling pin inside her intestines.

The woman claimed her husband often tortured her because she was infertile. He is now on the run
after police launched an investigation.

Dr Kedar Singh Shahi, a general surgeon at the hospital said:
"We were very shocked. We did not expect anything like this. We could only see a shadow in the X-ray as wooden materials cannot be identified.
"The internal damage she suffered was very serious and she could have died. The size of the rolling pin was around 40cm long which is a big size to be inserted into a human body."
The woman was treated at Dr Sushila Tiwari Government Medical College Hospital, in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, in northern India.

She was initially hesitant to explain how the household item was found inside of her.

Suspecting it was forcefully inserted into her body the hospital authorities informed the police and the National Commission for Women (NCW).

Amita Lokhani, vice-chairperson of NCW, said:

"The matter came to me a day after the operation. The woman was in a terrible condition when I first visited her. She was not only in pain but terrified to speak to anyone.
"I tried asking her what had happened but she did not say a word and kept crying. Her husband was present at the time.
"I continued visiting her for three days and eventually she opened up on the third day while her husband was away.
"She told me she was infertile and her husband often tortured her. On December 22 her husband came home drunk and tortured her again. In an act of brutality, he inserted the rolling pin into her body through anal region and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about it.
"He kept her locked in the house for two days until her condition worsened. He brought her to the hospital on December 25 however he went missing after we started investigating the matter."
Senior Superintendent Janmejaya Khanduri, of Nainital Police, said:
"Both husband and wife are from Nepal. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the husband.
"The woman was hesitant to speak to the police initially but after being counselled by the NCW she narrated her problem.
"Her husband is currently on the run but we have deployed a team of officers to catch him."
The woman is being treated free of cost at the hospital and is likely to be discharged next week and the NCW will continue to counsel her.

Dr Shahi added:
‘She came to us in a very poor state affected badly with septicemia. Her life was in grave danger but she is currently doing well and we’re positive she will make a recovery. She’s been a very brave lady."

'Remember your happiness starts with you'- Tonto Dike shares powerful message about self value

Image result for tonto dikeh 2016

Nollywood actress took to Instagram to share her thoughts on love, friendship, self worth, career, and relationship.

Read her, it sends a clear message that you should value yourself.

"Most people are pretty obvious with their actions.
I rarely get my hopes up, not because I am a pessimist but because I am a realist.
Actions prove why words mean nothing, from relationships to work, from work to parties.
Intentions that aren't acted upon are just ideas, and ideas without action are just thoughts.
So if that woman you want to be with is messing around, it is because you aren't her priority.
If that guy doesn't call you for two weeks, he doesn't like you as much as you like him.
If that important meeting keeps on getting rescheduled, it means it is not that important to the other party.
If the government fail the people they are supposed to be representing time and time again, it means that they aren't really representing you, or they just aren't bothered.
The people who always text and call to ask how you are, these are the people who care.
The people who email you back straight away and the people who do things to help. These are the people you should invest your time in.
Remember your happiness starts with you.
Not with your relationship.
Not with your friends.
Not with your job.
But with you.
Things outside of you won't fix problems on the inside.
Love yourself properly and people will love you.
Don't echasee after people/Things who are running away, if it is meant to be it will be.
If not, there are plenty more fish in the sea x
Everything is everything 💐 #Peace #2017 #GOOD #MORNING MY NEIGHBORS #chkbrs#POKOBARS"

Naturally I'm a Lone Ranger. I don't have friends. But in this year, I want to open myself up to the Magic of Friendship and responsibly too.
I'm going visit a lot of new countries that I haven't been to yet, especially in Africa. I love Africa to bits.
2017 pretty much is the year I plan on taking my career to the next level, exploring entirely new grounds and biting just more than I can chew. I believe it is going to be a very adventurous year indeed.

‎2016 was a good year. I achieved some goals but not as I would have wanted due to the economy. But it was certainly above average.
Mistakes were certainly inevitable, lessons learnt that's why it was a warm up and 2017 being the game will be sure far better than the former.
I will discard the unproductive trees and raise the bars a bit for the successful ones. I will also acknowledge the supremacy of God more this year, for its God who gives power to make wealth.
Every thing depends on God but i'll work as if everything depends on me.
I also want to be more proactive, productive, patient, light other candles like Thomas Jefferson will say; A candle looses nothing when it lights up another candle.
I want to learn more, increase my multiple streams of income if 10% input = 20%output ,with the economy one can only increase input of 100 to give us 130-150. Like Hector Lamarque said; most people make good choices everyday ,but don't make enough good choices to create momentum and obtain success " so its a year of more than enough input.
