This Woman poisoned her children in Bayelsa because her husband didn't buy Christmas dresses’

In what appeared to be a classic tale of someone who cut her nose to spite her face, a heartless mother who felt the best way to deal with a husband for failing to provide for the family was to poison their two children that subsequently killed one of them, the son, is facing the wrath of the law.
The incident took place last December in Kolo, Ogbia Local Government area, Bayelsa State, where 32 year old Helen Okwata Azibabeh forced her two children to drink Parafox, a popular herbicide used for curbing weeds.

Although, her one year old daughter, Gloria, escaped death by the whiskers, her two year old brother,
Innocent, was not so lucky as he died instantly after swallowing the lethal substance.  Azibabeh’s atrocity was subsequently discovered by her elder sister who promptly reported to the police when she ran to her for help.

Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Amba Asuquo, confirmed the transfer of the case to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department where the suspect is languishing in detention.

He told Saturday Sun of the suspect’s claim that frustration arising from her husband’s failure to buy Christmas dresses for her and her children triggered her homicidal instinct.

When Saturday Sun spoke with the suspected murderess, she stressed that her anger was really directed at her husband.
“I didn’t see any of the Christmas clothes my two children could wear,” Azibabeh said.
She reconstructed the dark drama of December 22, 2016:
“Early in the morning, I went to the market and bought Parafox, a substance that is used to kill grasses and I gave it to my two children to drink.  Gloria was able to survive due to self-medication and hospital treatment, but her brother, Innocent died on the spot after he drank the poison.”
Continuing her dark tales, she said:
“I ran to my elder sister’s house and confessed to her what I have done to my two children.   She assisted me to rescue Gloria by administering some medication, and we later took her to the hospital. Thereafter, she reported me at Kolo Police station and I was arrested.”
A remorseful Azibabeh told Saturday Sun:
“I used to have two children. I killed one by myself, now I am left with only one.  I want God to forgive me and intervene in my life. I have learnt my lesson. Nigerians should forgive me,” she wailed.
According to CP Asuquo, police have recovered the poisonous substance, but the corpse of the two- year -old victim would not be buried until after a postmortem.

The suspect is to be charged to court for murder as soon as investigation is concluded, the police boss said.
“In the meantime, she will continue to be in police custody,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ahmed Abdul of the State Criminal Investigation Department.

I won’t return to Nigeria until my doctors are satisfied - Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has said he would only return to Nigeria when his London doctors certify him well enough to do so.

In the February 5 letter to the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, informing the National Assembly of the extension of his vacation, President Buhari wrote:
“… I am extending my leave until the doctors are satisfied that certain factors are ruled out,” Mr. Buhari said.
The letter was exclusively obtained by PREMIUM TIMES on Saturday.

Although snippets of the letter were publicised by the presidency and the Senate on February 5 and 6 respectively, this is the first time the entire text and copy of the correspondence would be made available. See it after the cut.

The President wrote,

“Further to my letter dated 18th January 2017 in which I notified the Distinguished Senate of taking part of my annual leave.
“During my leave, I took the opportunity to have routine check-ups and consult my long standing doctors in London.
“In the course of the routine examinations, certain test result indicated the need for a course of medications and further appointments have been scheduled for next week.
“I am therefore notifying the Distinguished Senate that I am extending my leave until the doctors are satisfied that certain factors are ruled out. In the circumstances, the vice president will continue to act on my behalf.
“Please accept, Distinguished Senate President, the assurances of my highest consideration.”

This is the third time Mr. Buhari has transferred power to Mr. Osinbajo since the two leaders were inaugurated in May 2015.

The first time was on February 5, 2016 when the President embarked on a five-day vacation; and the second was in June 2016 when Mr. Buhari travelled to the United Kingdom for treatment of what the Presidency described as ear infection.

Recently ordained Pastor, Kenny Saint Best speaks on her new title

Music star, Kenny Saint Best who was  recently ordained as a Pastor at Anselm Madubuko's New Anointing Revival Assembly has now talked about her new title in this punch newspaper interview!

“My ordination and career cannot clash because I do gospel music. I am a minister of God through my music and that is what people know me for. Towards the end of last year, I had a worship concert and it was like a re-introduction of myself going back into the ministry.
I have always been doing gospel music and sometimes, I do street gospel music, songs that people on the streets can relate to and listen to without going to church. My ordination does not disturb my career; the only thing is that I would be doing more of worship songs than street gospel music,” she said.

Even though she is one of the very few gospel artistes that feature secular artistes in Nigeria, KSB said that would never turn her to become a secular artiste.

“I have never done secular music, if you doubt me, go and listen to my songs. It has never happened. If you are referring to my song with Terry G, it was a song of testimonies. If you listen to my song, ‘Sugar Sugar,’ featuring MI, it was also a street gospel music. Even my song with the late Da Grin, ‘Turn me Around,’ it was a song of prayers and Da Grin’s verse on the song was filled with prayer points,”

The singer who has been pastoring for over a decade opened up that she has always wanted to be a minister of God and she attended the necessary institutions to attain that.

“When I was in the UK, I went to the school of ministry and when I got back to Nigeria, I attended the Redeemed Christian Church of God and went for a post graduate course in Theology in 1997. You cannot do all of these without having it in mind that you want to become a minister of God someday. After my course, I was posted to be an assistant pastor and I served in that capacity for about six months. I have been pastoring for over 20 years but it is not something I like to share with the public,” KSB said.

Jenifa’s Diary Actress, Lolo is looking for a man that understands her

Every viewer of the popular drama series, ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ knows her as Adaku. But she is a trained lawyer, who veered into broadcast media and now an On Air Personality whose name is Omotunde Adebowale David. Also called aka Lolo 1, she opens up on her status as a single mother in this interview.

What really excites you?
I love it when I see my dreams coming to pass. It could be so exciting when things take shape; it is such a sweet feeling.

How do you handle people that tend to be abusive online?
I tell people ‘don’t look at online people, they are children; just ignore them.’  What I just do is look and move on. If it bothers me so much I delete you and block you because the more you answer the more you are misunderstood. The truth is that some people out there are just crying out for attention. You don’t need to focus on them.

Presently, you are divorced and a single mum. How are you coping?
I am not divorced yet I am still in the process. We are in court already and it will be done in a few months. Being a single mom is one of the most challenging things I have ever faced and I am writing a book because a lot of people demonize single moms. There is no rule book that tells you this is how you should go about it, you learn as you grow older. You face a lot of challenges. What I do is focus on the important which is the up-bringing of my children. In my case, my kids’ father and I talk; we have a good relationship. But the only thing is that we don’t live in the same house and the kids relate well with both parents.

Would you give marriage a second shot?
I would love to be married again. I won’t tell you if I am waiting for it to come. I am just asking God to help me get through this. However, if I meet someone I consider good enough, that would understand me; of course, I will be willing to try again because marriage is a great institution.

Woman Poisons Her Own Private Part To Kill Her Husband

A woman in South Africa is facing a 15-year jail term for allegedly lacing her va-gina with poison with the intention of killing her husband for allegedly cheating on her.

The woman identified as Beatrice, who has been charged with attempted murder, had complained to her friends about her husband's ways and decided to act against him in a diabolic way.

According to Trending Post, Beatrice put a potent liquid rat poison she found online in her private parts with the hope that her husband, Mr. Khumalo, would give her a cunnilingus which would kill him in the process.

After she was arraigned in court, Beatrice reportedly said:
I told him not to sleep around on me, I bet he won’t do it no more. I knew something was wrong when he wouldn't leave the house to come get this va-gina; he knows we always f*ck Thursday.”

The woman suspected her husband was dating a lady identified as Valerie Sithole.

The "dangerous wife" was charged with attempted murder and faces 15yrs in prison on conviction.

Giving evidence in the case, Mr. Khumalo said he knew something wasn’t right before he went down on his wife because she had been playing a song titled 'Poison' on repeat all day long.

He said his instinct save his life as he refused to go down on her despite her insistence. The man has thus vowed never to eat or drink anything Beatrice gives him as long as they remain married.
