Davido Absent At Tagbo Umeike’s Burial; Had A Royal Welcome In Benin

The younger brother of late Tagbo Umeike has confirmed that singer Davido was indeed absent at his brother’s funeral in Anambra state yesterday.

The young man identified as Chigbo Umeike told Punch NG that his brother was buried yesterday in the absence of Davido and his representatives.

He also used the opportunity to debunk the notion that their mother had stroke due to Tagbo’s demise.

His words:
“My brother was buried on Friday and it is so sad that we have lost someone with a big heart. However, Davido was not present at the burial neither did he send a representative but at this point, we have no comment on that.”

“I would also like to use this medium to correct the notion that my mother has stroke because she doesn’t. We saw the report online but it is not true. The burial ceremony went well. I would miss my brother a lot because he had a big heart. He was not only my brother but a lot of people’s brother as well. Through my late brother, I have made a lot of friends turned brother and despite his death, I hope to still keep these wonderful people as my brothers. My sister in the UK came down for the burial. For now, we just finished burying my brother and we would want the dust to settle”.

While his friend was being buried in Anambra, Davido was busy enjoying royal welcome in Edo state. He shared photo of himself enjoying the company of crown Prince of Edo state. The singer had a show in the state from where he is expected to travel to Sierra Leone for another concert.

Blac Chyna Blows Hot In Court Documents, Says Rob Actually Went Through Surgery To Lose Weight, Wasn't Dieting

Blac Chyna has claimed that Rob Kardashian secretly had $100,000 (£75,000) worth of weight loss surgery before lying about losing the weight through diet and exercise.

Chyna, 29, who shares daughter Dream with her ex Rob, 30, made the claims in publicly available court documents whilst defending herself from the claims he had made of her.

During their very public break-up over the summer, Rob revealed that Chyna had secret post-baby surgery and shared pictures of the star in her hospital gown.

Hitting back, Chyna - real name Angela Renée White - said in court documents: 'In fact, Rob
Kardashian himself underwent weight loss surgery that cost $100,000, whereas Chyna's surgery was for a lesser amount.

Chyan underwent minor cosmetic procedures including a breast and butt reduction as well as a small amount of liposuction around her belly button.

'Ms White is a well known social media influencer and trendsetter who professionally endorses health, lifestyle, and diet products in her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

'Accordingly, the manner in which Rob Kardashian revealed Ms White's personal medical information jeopardised Ms White's endorsement deals with several weight loss, fitness and diet companies - that all pay Ms White to promote their products on social media,' part of the documents read.

Ukrainian Heiress Who Killed 5 After Jumping Traffic Light Bursts Into Tears In Court As Judge Insists She Must Be Jailed At Least 2 Months

The Ukrainian heiress who killed five and injured six in a horror crash was yesterday detained for two months to stop her fleeing the country before her trial.

Alyona Zaitseva, 20, burst into tears as she was detained despite an extraordinary appeal to allow her multi-millionaire father to compensate her victims and their families.

Shocking video footage shows the sickening moment her Lexus ploughed into a crowd after she
drove through a red light and hit another vehicle at 63mph in central Kharkiv.

The glamorous oligarch's daughter was seen in tears alone in the courtroom cage at the start of a legal process which could see her jailed for a maximum ten years after a crash which left a street in the Ukrainian city looking like a 'war zone' with bodies strewn on a pavement.

In an extraordinary message from the dock to the bereaved and injured, the weeping heiress said: 'I am sorry that this situation happened and people suffered.

'This is the only that truly concerns me now. I am hoping that families will allow my parents to help them because this is the worst that could happen. All my thoughts are about it.'

Her lawyer Yulia Kozyr - famous for representing prominent people accused of corruption in Kharkiv - had sought house arrest for her.

But a judge ruled that she must remain in a detention prison for two months pending a criminal investigation into alleged dangerous driving causing deaths and injuries.

The court was told that a urine test revealed she had taken cannabis.

But a blood test showed her clear of alcohol and drugs so further analysis was ordered.

Ms Zaitseva has declined so far to give testimony on the horrific accident, citing the 63rd article of the Ukrainian constitution, permitting her not to incriminate herself.

Separate footage suggests she had been racing another car moments before colliding with a VW Touareg, then spun out of control and overturned, ramming into the pedestrians.

'I think it’s good we’re bringing light to this issue and hopefully more women will be able to tell their stories. Men need to listen and change their behavior.

Atiku Abubakar's Ex-Daughter In-Law Blows Hot, He Is Innocent, Blame My Ex-Husband & Titi Abubakar

Miss Ummi Bukar Bolori, ex wife of Aminu Abubakar, one of the sons of former vice president of Nigeria, Abubakar Atiku, in this interview with Nonye Ben Nwankwo, blows hot telling how Aminu has caged her kids off from her. She says she tried every other means of keeping this off the press but since Aminu wouldn't listen to his father who gave them a 'mandate' of how to live with the kids, she has been left to speak out. The interview...

Why did you wait till now to get the custody of your kids?

It is not as if I have not bothered, that is not true. I am a woman and I am a northerner, a full northerner at that.  I am from a respectable home. When I started asking for the custody of my kids, I
didn’t want it to degenerate to this messy and scandalous path that it eventually took now. I had reached out to my ex’s father twice. I spoke to him like a father, I explained to him how I felt and how I wanted my kids. I didn’t set out to embarrass anybody. I didn’t want my story to be out there.

Some people might think it got to this level because of Atiku’s political ambition…

No way. This is not anything political, I am not like that. It is not because of what they are going through now that made me come out openly to ask for my kids. I have never lived a public life. I am just a normal Maiduguri girl. I am from a humble home.

So why did you allow it to go public?

For it to happen this way, you should know that I have tried all the possible ways to do it in a peaceful way and in a solidarity manner.  I am not sure his father will even blame me for taking this route. He knows that I have tried so much to get my kids. I don’t blame his father for everything that has happened.

Who do you blame?

I blame his mother, Titi. She has been behind all these. She never wanted me to see my kids again. She wanted to punish me because I left her son. In fact, her son told me it was his mother who told him not to allow me to see my children. He would always hide whenever I asked to see the children.  As a mother, apparently she got hurt because I left her son. I really understand her standpoint.  She kept me away from my kids because she is a woman and she knew keeping me away would get to me. Her poor son just followed her and he just ended up messing himself up. Mothers are very strong in every family. Nobody can prevent a mother from seeing her kids. My ex-husband said nobody could fight them. He even said that to me before now. I even felt it was true at that time. Even my family, nobody was behind me in this fight. I fought him alone. But he fought me with his mother. I don’t think his father was with him. When I went to my kids’ school to get them, it was Titi that was even calling the DPO and telling him not to give me my kids and that he should arrest me. She wanted me to go down. She wanted to hurt me.

Didn’t she like you when you were her daughter in-law?

I never fought with her then. But she was never there for me. When I had my kids in Saudi and Dubai, she was never there.  Some mothers usually go and stay with their daughters law when they are having babies. She was never there for me. Now, all of a sudden, she wants to come and punish me with my kids. My family does not like what is happening now but I stood my ground and said nobody would take my kids from me. It was just a friend who encouraged me that as a mother, I have every right to ask for my kids even without their money. The kids need to stay with their mother no matter what. I don’t need their money anyway.

Are you saying your kids were not comfortable with their father?

They cannot be uncomfortable with their father but as a mother, I need my kids. I have a girl and she needs a motherly care. My seven-year-old boy was separated from me when he was three. Even in his own school, they told me he needed motherly attention. You could always tell from the look on their faces when you see a boy who misses his mother. He is not as smart as my daughter. He wasn’t with me, he missed me so much. When he sees me now, he tries to get so close to me and he wouldn’t want to let me go.

In all these years, did you make an attempt to see them?

Of course! I normally saw them but under strict condition. I would always beg my ex to allow me see my kids. My daughter would cry and tell him he should allow her to see me. That is only when he would accept. He would give me so many conditions. This last Easter that I saw them, they told me I should beg their dad to give them one more day to be with me. He refused. We begged him but he refused. But we have equal rights to see our children. I have as much rights as he has. He shouldn’t limit the amount of time I spend with my children.

But weren’t you seeing your kids before now?

Whenever I come to see them on holidays, police men will have to be there, even in the car and everywhere. He always claims he’s protecting his kids but that’s a lie; he’s protecting them from me. That’s the same thing he did when he came, he picked the kids for holidays and never returned them. So he’s scared I want to do the same thing.

But did you try to talk to Atiku about this?

I did. He called us; he told us we shouldn’t fight over this. He told his son to allow me have the kids when they are on holiday while he has them when they are in school and I should also have my nanny with them. I didn’t want to fight them at all. I didn’t want it to get this messy.  But I couldn’t sit back and allow anybody frustrate me where my kids are concerned.

So why didn’t you go ahead with what Atiku suggested?

No! I kept begging my ex. Some of his family members also agreed he wasn’t doing the right thing for me as the mother of his children. Why would he keep me out of my own children’s lives? He was just being stubborn to his father. Atiku had no hand in all that has happened. I would say Titi was the brains behind all these.  Incidentally, nobody is even mentioning her name.  She told the nanny not to allow the children talk to me even on the phone! I never knew a woman could do such to a fellow woman. She was very wicked to me. Had it been she told him that he shouldn’t keep me away from the kids even if we are divorced, I think he would have listened to her.  Even when she told my ex to get the kids from me, they left the children alone for a long time with just the nanny and the houseboy. It wasn’t as if she cared for the children that she wanted my ex to have custody of them. She just wanted to spite me.  I am not a drunk or a mad woman. I have a house; I could take care of my kids. I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs and I am always in my right senses.  But his mother is so bitter about the fact that I left her son. She would say stuff about me in front of my kids. They would come back and tell me. If she sees me, she will just look at me from head to toe and tell me that I am enjoying. I don’t know if she expected that I would suffer if I leave her son’s house. I am from a well to do family. I wasn’t living in a bush before I married Atiku’s son.  I don’t see any difference between the life I was living in his house and the life I am living now. It is just that then, I had a husband and now, I don’t have a husband, which is even better for me.

But we learnt you got married again…

That is not true. I attempted to get married but I didn’t.  I wouldn’t even know why anybody would say I abandoned my kids. My kids went on holidays at his place when I wasn’t around. When I came back, I called him and asked him when he was returning the kids. If I had abandoned my kids, would I have called him to ask for them? He told me he wasn’t going to release my kids because I was married. I told him I wasn’t married, he insisted. I told him there was no way I would be married and still stay in my father’s house. I insisted I wasn’t married. I told him to return my kids but he said no. Since then, I have been trying to get my kids. At some point, I even thought he would get tired. But he didn’t. He kept trying to frustrate me. I went to catering school in Dubai where I stayed for four months. I came back and asked for my kids yet he refused to release them. My kids don’t even know my parents. Is it fair?

Was your marriage to Atiku’s son arranged?

No. It wasn’t as if anybody connected us. It was a nice wedding. It was normal but it turned out to be like this.

When did things go wrong?

Things went wrong when I left him. If I say I wanted to see the kids, he would tell me to come back home. He got angry because I left. He would always wonder why I left.

So why did you leave?

I wasn’t happy. I couldn’t continue staying where I wasn’t happy.

Didn’t you know him before you got married to him?

I met another person when we got married. He turned out to be different when we got married. He pretended to be what he wasn’t. I found out when we got married. If he had turned out to be somebody better than who he was before we got married, that would have been better but not somebody worse. I couldn’t manage; I would have managed if I could. I still do not regret leaving him anyway, not at all.

Are the kids finally with you now?

They are with me but we have to share their custody. He will not have the sole custody. That was just what I was asking for. I couldn’t stop him from seeing his own kids. They are his as well. So he shouldn’t stop me either.  The kids just went to spend the holidays with him and that was it. He didn’t allow me custody again.

But we learnt he accommodated you each time you came to see the children?

That was in his father’s house. Are you saying my family shouldn’t know my kids? It is like slavery. I was always under supervision. There was always a policeman each time I was to see the kids.

Are you scared that you might come to any harm?

I started this fight alone. Everybody told me not to fight them. But I said even if they would kill me, let me die. I said I was ready to die for my right to my kids. God has been there for me. I can’t give all glory to my lawyer or even to me; I would say God just did it.

Poor Parenting, Cause Of Drug Abuse Among Young Artistes – Zack Orji

Ace Nigerian actor, Zack Orji, has lent his voice to the recent drug related deaths of young artistes in the entertainment industry and blamed poor parenting for the ugly trend.

He said, “I would say the problem of drugs in the entertainment industry especially with young musicians is a problem of poor parenting. We must inculcate in our children a good moral compass. When they go wrong, we must not fail to correct them.

We should not condone certain things and make our children feel like they can get away with certain things. That is one of the problems we have with the so-called influential people in the society.

They are always ready to bail out their children irrespective of what the children did, not minding the
fact that whatever your son does to another person, that is also another human being.

“A number of parents in America for example, who choose to be their children’s managers do that because of the bad influence they fear that they might be exposed to either from their peers, managers or other places. Look at Beyonce who started at a young age; in her early 20s, she was already an international superstar but she was being managed by her parents. That helped to guide her. I know a number of young Nigerians who are heavily on drugs; some of them have gone for rehabilitation. A lot of it has to do with poor parenting, negative peer pressure and a feeling of insecurity; believing that you have to do something to belong to a certain class.”

Citing himself as an example, he opened up to Saturday Beats that he also experimented with cigarettes and Indian hemp but quit the bad habits when he realised that they only caused him more harm than good.

Orji said, “I quit smoking because at a certain time, it was no longer pleasurable. As a matter of fact, I discovered that anytime I smoked over the years, I fell sick. I gave it up the first time for three years, then I relapsed but I finally stopped three years after I got married. I just discovered that anytime I smoked, I did not feel comfortable with myself, so I gave it up. I only smoke now when my character as an actor requires me to pick up a stick of cigarette.

To be honest, I tried marijuana as well but it did not agree with my body system. One thing is certain; you must know your body. You cannot be foolishly doing something knowing very well that it is affecting you negatively. It also has to do with peer pressure.

“I wrote a song in 1978 and in Enugu, there was this band they called IK Mudodo; they were the resident band in the 82 Division soldiers’ club. I used to go there to sing and perform with them on their Friday gigs. The band leader then was the one who introduced me to smoking Indian hemp and that was the first time I tasted Indian hemp, in 1978.

I really cannot explain how I felt. I tried it a few more times before I made up my mind that it was not good for me. It did not agree with my system, so I dropped it. When I quit smoking cigarettes after our marriage, my wife was so happy. When we were courting, it was okay with her but after marriage, she did not like it so I had to stop.”

He was quick to advise the younger generation to always be independent.

“I am a very independent person. Most of my friends back in the university days belonged to one cult group or the other but I did not think I needed to belong to any cult to be somebody. I did not think I needed anyone’s approval. Even though I received invitation from some of these cults to join them, I turned them down. Most of my classmates and colleagues were in cult but I turned them down. It is also a question of your own personal conviction about how you see yourself. You must believe in yourself, that you are somebody and you don’t need anyone’s approval to live your life. You don’t need to live up to anybody’s expectation and that is the problem with a lot of young stars.”

Mugabe Becomes 'WHO Goodwill Ambassador'

Robert Mugabe has been controversially appointed as health ambassador for the World Health Organisation.

The 93-year-old president of Zimbabwe - who oversaw plummeting life expectancy in his own country - will supposedly co-ordinate the United Nations organisation's battle against heart disease, cancer and diabetes across Africa.

The role - which comes with the title of 'WHO goodwill ambassador' - will be to encourage African governments to introduce policies to reduce smoking and drinking, improve diets and increase
exercise.

Walter Mzembi, Zimbabwe's foreign affairs minister, said the appointment was a 'major diplomacy coup' for the country and claimed Mugabe is 'very passionate about non-communicable diseases'.

A Consultant Psychiatrist with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital , Idi- Araba, Dr Erinfolami  Rasheed, has  said that one in five Nigerian adults is living with a  mental challenge.

Rasheed spoke at a seminar organised by the department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine, University of Lagos, to mark the World Mental Health Day.

The event was themed, Mental Health and The Work Place.

This, he noted, means that one out of every five worker is suffering from a mental illness.

The consultant also described the hostile work environment as a major factor why workers  are developing mental problems in recent times.

Couple Jailed for Kissing in Tunisia

A Frenchman and a Tunisian woman were convicted Wednesday on appeal in Tunis for “public indecency” after an altercation with police who arrested the couple while they were hugging in a car.
The couple, who maintain that they were not kissing, were given a lighter sentence than the original term handed out at their October 4 trial, after widespread outrage on social media and in the press over the incident.

The man was handed four months in prison for “public indecency” and “refusing to obey the police”, with the woman given a two-month sentence on the first charge only.
“It’s an independent decision,” a spokesman for the public prosecutors’ office, Sofiene Sliti told AFP.
“What has been reported nationally and internationally is wrong — they weren’t arrested for a kiss, the couple was naked,” he added.

At the hearing Wednesday, the woman collapsed into tears when the court president read a police description saying a sexual act was in process when the couple were stopped on October 1 in a suburb of Tunis.

The woman said that her friend had simply taken her into his arms when the plainclothes police stopped them and made them get out of the car.

Nigerian Infamous Suicide Bomber, Abdulmutallab, Sues US Justice Department (PHOTOS)

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who serving multiple life sentences in the United States for trying to bomb a plane has sued the U.S. Justice Department, Federal Bureau of Prisons and Attorney General Jeff Sessions for denying him free speech and religious rights.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, popularly known as the ‘Underwear bomber’ had on Christmas Day 2009 attempted to set-off a bomb hidden in his underwear during an Amsterdam to Detroit flight.
.
Abdulmutallab, who was then 22, was sentenced to life imprisonment and jailed at the United States Penitentiary-Administrative Maximum Facility in Florence, Colorado.
.
But in a suit filed in a Colorado federal court on Wednesday, the 30-year-old said authorities in the prison were violating his constitutional rights by not allowing him to communicate with the outside world or practice his religion as a Muslim.
.
The lawsuit alleged that once Abdulmutallab got to prison, he was immediately placed in long-term solitary confinement and placed under special administrative measures (SAMs) that prohibited his communication with most of his family members up until last year when he was allowed to talk to his sister.
.
According to reports, he’s still not allowed to talk to any of his nieces or nephews. The lawsuit further accused staff at the facility of repeatedly force feeding him during a hunger strike using “excessively and unnecessarily painful” methods.
.
It alleged that white supremacist inmates were also permitted to harass him during prayer times. “Prisoners retain fundamental constitutional rights to communicate with others and have family relationships free from undue interference by the government,” said Gail Johnson, his attorney, in a statement to the New York Times.

"My Girlfriend Smelled Of Condom Down There And I Broke Up With Her"

A KDBlog reader sent me this through the mail. Read below:

Please guys, trust no girl wholeheartedly oo. Trust any girl at your own peril, if you fail to heed my warning.

A girl I have been keeping for almost 2 years - with the hope of marrying her once I pass out from here in NDA - just disappointed me, thereby shattering me to pieces. Right now, am in pains.

I was given 3 days pass to enable me attend an important event at home. Before the permission, my supposed babe have been disturbing on how badly she needed to be sexed, and how distance has been
a barrier to that effect. I kept telling her to hold her chill, that am gonna be back soon. Although I had heard annoying stuffs about my babe - now an Ex, on how she was frolicking with different guys in my absence, but I was not deterred; simply because, I didn't believe in hearsays.

Yesterday, she called and sent me sweet text messages as she normally do. I asked her to come over to my house around 4PM which she reluctantly obliged. But the way she sounded over the phone made it clear that she never wished to see me any time soon, maybe due to her schedules with other stuffs.

However, I pondered how my babe who has been disturbing and informing me on how 'conjirized' she is suddenly feel not too excited coming to see me dispite being aware that I came home on Tuesday(17th) night.

Time ticked to 4pm yesterday, I didn't see her. I exercised patience till 5pm before I gave her call, but she didn't pick. I called for the second time but no picking again. I decided to hold dowm my anger and not to call her again for the day. Around 15mins to 6pm, she called back saying that her phone was on silent. I ask why, and she told me she would explain when she reached my home that she was running short of airtime.

Finally, she came and apologized after explanation of what led to her phone being on silent. I asked her never to worry that am not holding anything against her, that she should be free.

However, situation changed the moment I tried making love with her as she undressed. Down her private part, I perceived the 'SCENT of CONDOM', and that was it. I enquired why she smells of condom there, but she couldn't give me coherent and articulate answer.

Being furious, I slapped and pushed her out of my compound.

Today in the afternoon, I sent her final warning to stay clear from me or I will shoot her skull to pieces.

Finally, guys be weary of whom you date. Most ladies out there are evil.

Rita Ora Hails Women For Speaking Out Against Weinstein, As Police Step In

She worked with the now-disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein on the gritty boxing film Southpaw in 2015.

And Rita Ora has now opened up about her experience with the mogul after more than 20 women accused him of sexual assault, harassment and even rape.

The singer, 26, said on Jonathan Ross's chat show - which will air on Saturday evening - that Weinstein has never acted inappropriately towards her in the years they have worked and partied together.

Joined on the sofa by Ed Sheeran, Russell Howard and Gordon Ramsay, Rita said of the Hollywood
scandal: 'It's insane.'

When asked if she was on the receiving end of any untoward behaviour from Weinstein, she said: 'I did not encounter that. And I value everybody's confidence in coming out and being brave and showing their independence.

'And I think it's an incredible time right now, especially in the world, to really prove yourselves and stick up for who you are and what you believe in.'

The Hot Right Now songstress added: 'The world is a crazy place, life is crazy isn't it? And you just never really know anything really do you?

'As long as you are honest with yourself and as long as you do the best things that you can to achieve what you want to achieve.

'I love my family, I do everything for my family and so I think that's what helps me go to sleep at night.'

Rita's insight comes as the Metropolitan Police announced it is reviewing an allegation against the producer dating back to the 1980s.

Zimbabwe’s High Court has ruled that when a person dies they must leave the bulk of their estate in their will to their immediate family, the country’s state-run Herald newspaper says.

The landmark case was brought by a widow in Mutare who had been excluded from her late husband’s will. He had also disinherited his two children.

Justice Loice Matanda-Moyo said that the widow, Lily Lilian Nyamushanya, should be the sole beneficiary of the matrimonial home and the children should benefit from the estate.

According to the Herald, she said the right to distribute one’s estate was not absolute if the person’s
will “disregarded the rights of beneficiaries as enshrined in the constitution”.

She added that "traditions and cultural practices that infringe the rights of women conferred by the constitution" were void.
