Corruption: EFCC Quizzes Two FHC Judges

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday interrogated Justice Agbadu James Fishim and Justice Uwani Abba Aji of the Federal High Court (FHC), Lagos. This brings to five, the number of judges interrogated so far at the Lagos zonal office of the antigraft agency.

It was, however, gathered that Justice Rita Ofili- Ajumogobia, had yet to honour the Commission’s invitation. The EFCC is investigating eight judges and two registrars of the same court. Justices Mohammed Nasir Yunusa, Hyeladzira Ajiya Nganjiwa and Musa Haruna Kurya had honoured the Commission’s invitation on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

Highly placed sources, who spoke in confidence with New Telegraph last night, said: “Another set of two Federal High Court judges, Justice Agbadu James Fishim and Justice Uwani Abba Aji, today (Wednesday) morning responded to their invitation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as they presented themselves before operatives at the Lagos zonal office, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi.”
