– Nigerians back Aisha Buhari’s call to reshuffle the ministers in her husbands’ government

– While some of them advised the president to sack all of his ministers, others gave several names and reasons for their resignation

Nigerians expressed their support for the call of Aisha Buhari to her husband President Muhammadu Buhari to reshuffle his cabinet of ministers.

The president’s wife in her controversial interview to the BBC claimed that her husband does not know most of the appointees in his cabinet.

Mrs Buhari noted that the incumbent administration was hijacked by a several people, who were behind presidential appointments.

She was quoted as saying: “The president does not know 45 out of 50, for example, of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either, despite being his wife of 27 years.

“Some people are sitting down in their homes, folding their arms, only for them to be called to come and head an agency or a ministerial position.”

Following Aisha’s comments, which have since gone viral, NAIJ.com asked Nigerians to name the ministers who deserve to be sacked by the president.

Read some responses below:

Olubiyo Joseph: “Adeosun should go and teach Phonetics and GST in varsities; she’s not fit for the job. Fashola should be dropped as well. He’s made little or no single impact as the so-called super minister. Fayemi should be sent back to Ekiti. He was only compensated for financing Buhari’s election. Ogbeh is an old man that has no wherewithal on how to move the agriculture sector forward. Malami is a mediocre lawyer.

Nobody knew him as a good lawyer before being appointed as a minister…He’s really dragged the legal profession to the mud, wrongly advising Buhari. Dambazzau is a thief that syphoned funds but was covered…too arrogant. In fact, all of them are square pegs in round holes. This is the first time we are having unpopular, inefficient and non-performing ministers.”

Jerry Ewaiotomi: “None of them is clean and also they are incapable. Amaechi has not offered any new innovation since appointed.

Audu Ogbeh is clueless on how to independent on foreign food importation, Dambazzau is corrupt and arrogant, Fayemi is just a figurehead who just been compensated for the campaign, Kemi Adeosun is still trying because she speaks good English and yet to understand the volume of her job and the working principles of Nigeria economy.”

Chukwudi Chuks: “Amaechi is only breeding hatred and the inciting the populace against the president. Aisha Buhari was actually referring to Amaechi and El-Rufai, as the cabals that have hijacked the state machinery from Buhari. That is why executive impunity is on the rise!”

Anthony Ezekoka: “Buhari himself should resign because he is corrupt.”

Tunji Abiona: “No 1 on the list should be the minister of budget and planning who doesn’t know the national debt, that man is incompetent and is a disgrace to Nigeria. For me, Adeosun should be retained if not for anything at least for her fluent in the English language.”

Dickson E. Ogodo: “PMB should replace Fashola with Adams Oshiomhole after Edo swearing in a ceremony. Fashola is incompetent to handle three ministries.”

Christian Samcy: “Adeosun must go, Fashola too must go, Mama or Mummy Taraba must go too.”

Pasgy Omoh: “No 1, should be Mrs Arithmetics blunder. No 2 Mr Grass importer, 3. Aviation 4. Mr United State of Nigeria, and finally Mr Other room should fire himself.

Aideloje Chizzy Japy: “All of them including Buhari himself.”

Idreez Haroun: “Nigerians are funny. I assure you, as soon as he changed any, wailers would shout foul. If Amaechi is removed they will shout why after helping him to win elections he did not pardon him, or even say after six months it took him to select him he couldn’t find out about him. Wetin we go do.  Nigerians really deserve a tougher president like Buhari for sure.”

Consequently, the list of those who should be sacked looks like this:

1. Rotimi Amaechi

2. Kemi Adeosun

3. Babatunde Fashola

4. Kayode Fayemi

5. Chief Audu Ogbeh

Others on the proposed list include Aisha Alhassan, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, Abubakar Malami and Buhari himself.
