A woman has been left distraught and distressed after a student unlocked her phone and shared her n*ked valentine's day pictures on social media.
A teacher has been sacked after a student stole her n*ked Valentine's Day photo which was intended for her husband.
The woman identified as Leigh Anne Arthur, 33, from South Carolina, lost her job at Union County High School last month when one of the pupils took her unlocked phone and made copies of the intimate image.
The duplicated pictures were shared among students and on social media. However, no action has been taken against the 16-year-old pupil who perpetrated the dubious act. The incident happened on Feburary 18.
It was revealed that she might have had problem with the student. After class that day before the photo incident occurred, the student told her: "Your day of reckoning is coming."
Instead of standing with the teacher for the evil done by the student, the school authority has decided to play the role of a villian.
David Eubanks, interim superintendent of Union County schools, has said that the teacher was irresponsible in not having her phone locked.
Speaking to WYFF-TV, Ms Arthur said: "We all make stupid decisions when we're 16.
"He had the ultimate decision to take pictures of my pictures and he had the ultimate decision to send them out."
But an online petition backing the teacher has now begun.
At the time of writing, almost 8,000 people have signed a petition insisting that the teacher "is the victim of a blatant attack of her privacy" and should be given her job back.
