The Deputy Senate President and highest elected leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Thursday, paid a solidarity visit to the detained former appointees of Jonathan’s government who are in the detention cells of the Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC), for allegedly participating in the misapplication of the $2.2bn arms procurement funds.
Ekweremadu’s visit to Mr. Femi Fani Kayode, Director of Publicity of the Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Dr. Reuben Abati, Jonathan’s Media Adviser and Mr. Bala Mohammed, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory under President Jonathan was supposed to be a morale booster as Ekweremadu reportedly told the detained past officials that they were paying same price of leadership paid by past leaders who were detained on different occasions in the leadership quest for the country
