Manchester City have signed Argentina international Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia on a five-year deal for a fee believed to be around £32 million.
The 27-year old who helped his country, Argentina reach this year’s Copa America final was named in La Liga’s 2014-15 team of the season.
“To be here inside a club that looks so wonderful from the outside is a dream,” said the central defender.
City manager Manuel Pellegrini said: “He’s strong, he’s excellent in the tackle and he’s very good technically.”
It appears unlikely that City’s Eliaquim Mangala will join Valencia following his impressive start for City.
