Manchester United sack Van Gaal

Manchester United have finally made public the sack of the club’s manager, Louis van Gaal just two days after the Dutchman led them to victory over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.

Van Gaal spent two years with the club.

Despite spending big in the transfer market last summer, United suffered a poor Premier League campaign.

Van Gaal is expected to be replaced by former Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho is almost certain to take over from Van Gaal, with the former Chelsea manager’s arrival to be announced within the next few days.

Dutch coaching staff comprising assistant coach, Albert Stuivenberg and goalkeeper coach Frans Hoek have also left the club with immediate effect.
