Plan to expel Senator Shehu Sani handiwork of hired agents – ‘Kaduna True APC’

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kaduna State under the auspices of ‘True APC’ (AKIDA), Tuesday frowned at the purported plans to expel the Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani from the party, describing such as the handiwork of hired agents.

The members warned that such activities must be checked before they ruin the party completely in the state.

According to the group in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Murtala Abubakar, “We have on many occassions made public our advice to the National leadership of our party to exercise it’s responsibility to bring to an immediate end the drift arising from the absence of an effective and functional party in Kaduna State at all levels.

“The hijack of the remnant of our party by a clique that believes it owns it’s loyalty only to the Governor has resulted to abuse of power, lack of decorum and impunity in the party.

‎”We wish to state clearly that the people engineering this crisis in the party are hire agents parading themselves as acting this and that , commissioned by external forces to put the party in perpetual state of crisis with the aim of placing our party in severe disrepute and our members in a state of intense grief and confusion.

“We reiterate that no person shall exercise power outside the party’s constitution. People claiming power, including power to query or discipline members should not themselves be holding power that are illegal.

“The right to free speech, to hold and express opinions are fundamental rights which our party should uphold, rather than breach. Every member should be free to express opinion on governance at all levels, subject to the provision of our party constitution.

“We shall sustain our effort to ensure that our party stay to its ideals and commitments,” the group stressed.”
