In emotional tributes alongside some gripping deathbed photos, veteran journalist and Ovation magazine boss, Dele Momodu, has remembered the passing away of his mother.
Multi-award winning media personality, Chief Dele Momodu, has taken to his Instagram page to mark the 8th anniversary of the death of his mother who passed away at the age of 84, as he writes tributes and also shared some deathbed photos.
"About this time on May 18, 2007, I landed in Lagos from London, on British Airways, and got my worst call ever: MAMA IS IN COMA. I froze and prayed my Mum would survive," the Ovation magazine publisher wrote alongside a photo shared on his page.
The publisher recounted how his late mother raised them after the death of their father when he was only 13. The late Madam Momodu, through petty trading, saw her children through school, and when Momodu failed to make WAEC the third time, she still encouraged him, adding that he went on to gain admission into the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife.
Now, he remembers his mother, and penned this touching tributes to her.
