The feud between President Muhammadu Buhari and a former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been further confirmed with his failure to appear at the commission of some military structures in Lagos.
President Muhammadu Buhari, has commissioned three war ships and 27 patrol boats at the Nigerian Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The president who touched down at the presidential wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Thursday noon and was received by the state Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the closest ally of the President during the presidential election campaign in 2015 was nowhere to be found.
Tinubu had traveled abroad since the build-up of the Ondo election which reportedly created a bad blood between him and prominent party members. It is not clear if Tinubu is back in Lagos State.
According to reports, one of the war ships commissioned was said to have been imported while the two others were built locally.
Buhari was accompanied on the visit by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and army chiefs as well as the Police while Tinubu whose house is a stone-throw away from the Naval Dockyard was absent.
