Police in New York have arrested two Nigerian fraudsters who have been duping people using forged credit cards.
Two Nigerian-Americans were arrested early Saturday morning in New York for possessing forged credit cards and a credit card encoder, police have reported.
Olisa Uzoegwu, 20, and Chidubem Adi, 19, were pulled over after driving through a red light at 3 a.m. on Saturday morning on Long Island in New York. The police officers noticed a bag of marijuana in the vehicle's backseat, causing the officers to search the car.
During the search, the officers found a credit card encoder and forged credit cards. Mr. Uzoegwu was subsequently charged with four counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, criminal possession of a forgery device, false personation, and driving without a license.
Mr. Adi was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, unauthorized possession of marijuana, and false personation.
