Bayelsa Governor, Mr. Seriake Dickson appoints 10 new special advisers
Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Seriake Dickson, has sworn in 10 newly appointed special advisers, with a call on them to be committed and loyal to his administration’s agenda by discharging their duties to the best of their abilities.
Dickson administered the swearing in of the special advisers at the Government House, Yenagoa, on Saturday.
He pointed out that their appointment was informed by their pedigree as well as to inject fresh blood into the system in order to give service to the government and people of the state.
According to the governor, their appointments are well deserved, because they have severally proved their mettle in the service of the people and on the account of their belief in the government.
Dickson said, “You have proved your mettle in your service; in terms of politics and you have creditably served your people in other aspects, especially in your belief in the restoration government.
“I want to assure you all that as you remain committed and loyal to the administration and perform creditably to serve our people, God is going to reward you.
“As Special Advisers, a number of you are not new to the tenets of the restoration government, even before your appointment, a number of you have been supportive and I want to urge politicians to emulate you.”
Dickson urged them to interact with their colleagues, stressing that this is the time when their loyalty and commitment is most needed to bring more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
He implored them to bring their wealth of experience to bear by also collaborating frankly and robustly with other members of the team in the performance of their assignments.
Speaking on behalf of the newly-sworn in special advisers, Dr. Allen Fente, assured Governor Seriake Dickson of their loyalty and commitment.
Fente added that they would work assiduously with other stakeholders to ensure the re-election of the governor to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
