Newsreader struggles to hold back tears as she tells viewers her colleague

A newsreader broke down in tears while reporting on the earthquake in Mexico as she revealed her colleague's wife was among the dead.
Yuriria Sierra couldn't control her emotions while delivering a news report on Imagen Television when she told the reporter at the scene and the audience about who one of the dead was. The dead woman had been married to fellow employee Julio Ocana and had died after spending 73 hours
trapped in rubble.

A male reporter on the scene wore a sombre look as he listened to the female newsreader struggle to deliver the news without breaking down in tears.
Ms Sierra said of Mr Ocana: "We send him a giant hug to his son and the whole family and we are here to hug him in the next days. Oh, what a tragedy."

The earthquake had hit Mexico City and two nearby states on September 19 leaving more than 300 people dead with many trapped inside buildings. The 7.1 magnitude earthquake killed more than 310 people and injured thousands in Mexico City and the neighbouring states of Morelos and Puebla, in the centre of the country. It was followed four days later by a 6.1 magnitude quake that killed five and injured seven in the southern state of Oaxaca.
