Anthony Joshua's team are reportedly disappointed that Amir Khan seemingly got his wife to apologize instead of Khan to do it himself after publicly accusing Joshua of having an affair with his wife.
Amir Khan and Anthony Joshua resolved their issue online after Khan's wife Faryal Makhdoom revealed that a fake chat was sent to her husband, making him believe she was having an affair with Joshua. Faryal apologized for the false accusation and Khan retweeted his wife's apology, adding that
he was glad all was cleared up. Joshua accepted the apology but he is reportedly not happy that Khan did not apologize by himself.
Khan only tweeted: "Glad all is cleared up and all lies. I got angry like any man would. No truth to it. Good to know. All the best."
No where in his tweet did he apologize or acknowledge that he did wrong. Instead, he tried to explain away his action. Joshua has forgiven him but an insider told Sun Online that members of his team are furious.
The insider said: "AJ’s name has been dragged through the mud through no fault of his own which is totally unfair. We think an apology is the least he should expect. Anthony’s team are furious at what they consider to be a publicity stunt. They don’t want to be dragged into the Khans’ business.
"Anthony’s legal team got in touch as soon as it happened and Amir immediately promised to apologise. But it seems he has got his wife to do it – which is disappointing."
