Some parents find the school’s demand outrageous as school fees has almost doubled from what it was last year due to the Forex crisis. The current fee is at N1 million a term at the exchange rate of 318 Naira to a dollar.

What makes the dollar fee payments even more bizarre is that staff of LPS are paid in naira so there is no real reason for the unreasonable demand. Some parents are in the process of filing litigations against the school while others have withdrawn their children.

That1960chick.com has also exclusively gathered that the headmaster at Lagos Prep has resigned and will no be returning when he goes on holiday this Summer.

Other schools like Children’s International School Lekki and St Saviors Ikoyi empathized with the plight of parents and fixed their fees in Naira.
