Somto is one of the daughters of the late Minister of Information/ Communications and former NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Dora Akunyili.
Somto was engaged to Chinonso Asuzu in May 2016 and they are both medical practitioners based in the United States.
Their wedding is slated for 2017 and it holds in Agulu, Anambra State.
