Assault, Battery, Kawangware, Kawangware Woman Battered By Ex - Husband For Not Picking His Call, Kenya, Lydia Nyanchama, Mercy mission hospital, Nairobi, private school teacher, Stephen Omondi ⋅
A woman has been severely battered by her ex-husband for not answering his phone calls.
It’s gathered that Lydia Nyanchama, a private school teacher in Kawangware, Nairobi, was left without a tooth and broken arm after her ex-husband beat her up. Stephen Omondi, a mechanic based in Westlands, on Sunday, January 17, beat Lydia for not answering his phone calls.
She narrated the cause of her action in an interview:
“I had gone for an outing in Dagorettion Saturday when he called but I did not not answer because he chased me from his house in 2014 without a clear reason,” Nyanchama said.
According to a woman who teaches at Light of God school, a school close to her house, she found Omondi waiting outside her house when she returned the following morning. It’s gathered that after Omondi beat up Lydia, he threatened to return and kill her.
It’s learnt that Lydia went to Mercy mission hospital in Kawangware for treatment and reported the assault at Muthangari police station. She was given a P3 form but she has asked police to quicken investigations and arrest the man as she fears for her life.
Omondi has already accepted the accusation saying that he beat Nyanchama because he supports their child yet found her in a pub with another man.
