Sixty-eight suspected illegal immigrants, including two pregnant women and 15 children, have been found inside four different Vessel freight containers at a port in Essex.
They were found during routine Border Force checks at Harwich International Port at about 22:00 BST on Thursday.
Thirty-five people from Afghanistan, 22 from China, 10 from Vietnam and one Russian were discovered.
Seven people were rushed to hospital, including the two mothers-to-be, and 61 others assessed at the scene by paramedics, who received a tip-off at around 10 pm.
Police said 53 adults and 15 children were discovered huddling in the dark during a routine inspection of shipping containers at Harwich International Port in Essex.
