Legal luminary, Rotimi Akeredolu who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State has enjoyed strong political support from stakeholders in the Sunshine State ahead of the November 26 election.
With less than 4 days to the Ondo State gubernatorial election, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN who has been painstakingly engaging in house to house and thorough grassroots political campaigns has been endorsed by major groups in the oil-rich state.
According to reports gathered by TORI NEWS, his tight itinerary prevented him from attending the Ondo governorship debate on Channels TV as he was billed to speak to a mammoth crowd in Ilaje riverine area. Residents of the impoverished Ilaje region have been deprived of electricity for ages without any developmental intervention by government thereby denying them access to the television.
Akeredolu fondly called Aketi has earned the strong endorsement of the Ilaje Royal King from Ugbo Kingdom, Oba Akinruntan at his palace yesterday. The royal father heaped praises on the very successful lawyer who he had a history of business engagement with.
In his words:
"Akeredolu helped me to incorporate my companies free of charged when he newly graduated from school. My filling stations at Igbokoda and Aye, he was the one that got them.
"We were both looking for filling stations together. He advised me to move from selling in jerrycan to having a filling
station.
"He did all the paper free of charge. He has helped me a lot in the past. I am saying all this because, this is pay back time"
In the same vein, the Association of food vendors, Ondo State Chapter has also pledged allegiance to Akeredolu after a close study of the candidates jostling for the number one political position in the state. Two popular Yoruba actors with roots in Ondo namely Odunlade Adekola and Ronke Oshodi Oke have also endorsed Aketi in video advertorials.

Meanwhile, friends, associates and prominent Ondo State citizens in Lagos State and environs organised a fund raising dinner for Akeredolu's ambition to become Ondo State. According to reports gathered by this newspaper, all speakers at the event gave good account of the APC guber candidate as a man to be trusted and competent above all others in d race for the Alagbaka Government House.

With references to these impressive endorsements by prominent bodies coupled with the high rate of defection to the APC in Ondo State, indications seems clear that Aketi may coast to victory on Saturday, the 26th of November, 2016.
