In compliance with the directives of the Police Command, worshippers went to the various prayer grounds with mainly their praying mats and avoided taking unnecessary objects along.
Worshippers were also directed by the police to park their vehicles at about 200 metres away from prayer grounds.
The command also deployed plain clothes security operatives to recreational centres and strategic places including roundabouts, markets, and places of worship for intelligence gathering and to boost security in the city.
In a statement, the command’s spokesman, Magaji Musa Majiya, commended the efforts of the general public in cooperating with all security agencies in the state, saying it has contributed to the maintenance of law and order in the state.
Meanwhile, Senator Bello Gwarzo has urged the country’s Muslim community to continue to exhibit good conduct, beyond the holy month of Ramadan fast.
