For making a post on Facebook with anti-government content, a media aide to the Edo State governor has landed in hot soup.
Governor Adams Oshiomhole ordered the arrest of his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr Curtis Ugbo for posting an anti-government statement on Facebook.
According to The Authority, Mr Ugbo who is a strong supporter of Deputy Governor Dr Pius Odubu’s governorship aspiration, was picked up by a team of security operatives who stormed his house in two Hilux vans, breaking doors and window and forcefully whisking him away without any warrant of arrest.
Ugbo, after the ground-breaking of the Okpella Cement Factory posted on Facebook that the governor didn’t involve the state’s stakeholders, House of Assembly members or National Assembly members.
Although findings revealed that the statement maybe an attempt to rubbish the person of the governor as the Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Victor Edoror and other stakehold-ers in the state were present at the Sunday’s ground breaking ceremony
