Lagos High Court Sheriffs stormed the home of music duo, P-Square, at about 5.30 this morning with a court order to seize property following a judgement against them.
According to LIB, when the Sheriffs arrived at P-Square's home, the security men at the gate refused them entry, saying the brothers were not home. However, the sheriffs allegedly forced their way in injuring one security guard (pictured below).
Speculations have been rife about what the probem may be that would warranted seizure of music the giants' home but one source who spoke anonymously has revealed the real background.
The source revealed that some years ago, there was a show in Benin that the P-Square brothers were supposed to perform in. They were reportedly paid N1million for the gig, but when the brothers arrived Benin for the show, they were told that the show had been postponed till the next day. P-Square however, refused to stay till the next day and returned to Lagos.
The organizer of the show who was enraged, demanded for his money back and when he didn't get it, he took the case to court. He got a court judgement and promptly moved to Lagos.
The source further said the case had been in court all this while but the P-Square brother's weren't really aware of it as no one represented them. It looks like judgement may have been passed in absentia, which brought the court Sheriffs to their home today.
They tried to tow a vehicle after showing the papers brought from the court but no one would allow them take any car away.
