The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted localised thunderstorms, with chances of rain showers over some cities in the central states in the morning hours on Thursday.
The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet ‘s Central Forecast Office (CFO), on Wednesday in Abuja.
It said there are prospects of rains and cloudy skies over most parts of the region in the afternoon and evening hours.
Nimet also predicted that the coastal areas will experience cloudy conditions over the south-west.
“There are chances of localised rains over the south-east in the morning while localised rain showers are expected in the afternoon and evening over the entire region.
It also said the inland areas would experience cloudy conditions over the south-west, with chances of localised rains over the south-east in the morning while localised rain showers are expected in the afternoon and evening over the region.
NiMet further predicted that the northern states will experience localised thunderstorms over the north-west, with cloudy conditions over the north-east in the morning hours.
It added that localised thunderstorms would be expected over the entire region during the forecast period.
