Kanye West Snubbed Wife Kim On The Met Gala Red Carpet?

I saw the photos and they looked happy but some keen observers say they detected friction between Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian on the 2015 Met Gala red carpet.

According to tell OK magazine
"At one point, when Kim reached for Kanye's hand, he moved away to pose for photos! He also briefly left her on the red carpet to talk to another attendee while Kim continued to pose for the numerous photographers. As the couple headed inside, Kanye didn't look like he wanted to pose with his wife, and photographers had to literally scream and beg him to turn back towards the cameras and face in the same direction as his curvy wife."

Pandemonium In Edo State Following What Was Thought To Be A Grave Inside A Classroom

Pandemonium In Edo State Following What Was Thought To Be A Grave Inside A Classroom

There was pandemonium at Iguodala Primary School, in Uhunduhun community of Oredo local government area of Edo State, on Monday, following the discovery of what looked like a grave inside one of the classrooms in the school. The blood-stained grave allegedly discovered by one of the teachers and some pupils of the school shortly after the morning assembly, caused great stir and anxiety.

The pupils were said to have drawn the attention of the acting Head Mistress, Mrs. Georginia Ilongwo to the grave. She subsequently ordered the evacuation of the pupils from the affected classroom, and thereafter alerted officers from the Esigie Police Division. She described the discovery as shocking, adding that, many parents had prevented their children and ward from going to school on Tuesday due to the fear of contracting infection.

"When I visited the scene, all the teachers were raising alarm and neighbours were trooping into the school compound. We called the attention of inspectors from the ministry, NUT chairman, PTA Chairman and the Odionwere of the community who told us to call the police. "When the policemen came they said that they would assess the scene today (Tuesday). We were all surprised because since I started teaching here, I have not experienced such thing," Mrs. Ilongwo said.

When journalists visited the school, a pair of shorts and a t-shirt were seen on the floor of the classroom. Policemen from the Esigie Police Division were also at the scene, some of whom were said to have kept watch‎ from Monday night until an evacuation was carried out by some cemetery staff from local government council at about 11:40 am on Tuesday. The cemetery staff were instructed by health officials from the council to stop exhumation, after digging three feet into the ground, saying that there was no sign that a corpse had been buried at the site.

Footballer Emmanuel Adebayor Spills The Beans About His family In A New Facebook Post

This juicy, y'all need to read it. Former African Footballer of Year, Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor has been having a running battle with his family for years. His sister has gone to the media a few times to claim he doesn't take of them and has turned his back on them, plus other accusations. She even claimed that Emmanuel kicked their mother (above) out of his house in November 2014.

The Tottemham striker took to Facebook yesterday to give a lengthy insight into his complicated personal life. He listed the things he's done for his family and basically accused them of using him for his money, stealing from him and being ungrateful. Read it below;

A couple years ago, I bought a house in East Lagon (Ghana) for $1.2 million. I found it normal to let my older sister, Yabo Adebayor stay in that house. I also allowed my half brother (Daniel) to stay in the same house. A few months later, I was on vacation and decided to go to that house. At my surprise, I saw many cars in the driveway. In fact, my sister decided to rent out the house without me knowing.

She also kicked Daniel out of that house. Note that the house had about 15 rooms. When I called her and asked for explanation, she took about 30 minutes to abuse and insult me over the phone. I called my mother to explain the situation and she did the same as my sister. This same sister says I am ungrateful. Ask her about the car she is driving or anything she is selling today?

My brother Kola Adebayor, has now been in Germany for 25 years. He travelled back home about 4 times, at my expense. I fully cover the cost of his children's education. When I was in Monaco, he came to me and asked for money to start a business. Only God knows how much I gave him. Where is that business today?

When our brother Peter passed away, I sent Kola a great amount of money so he could fly back home. He never showed up at the burial. And today that same brother (Kola) is telling people that I am involved in Peter's death. How? He is the same brother who went and told inaccurate stories about our family to "The Sun" in other to take some money. They also sent a letter to my Club when I was in Madrid so I could get fired.

When I was in Monaco I thought it would be good to have a family of footballers. So I made sure my brother Rotimi gets into a football academy in France. Within a few months; out of 27 players, he stole 21 phones.

I would not say any anything about my brother Peter Adebayor because he is not here today. May his soul rest in peace. My sister Lucia Adebayor keeps telling people that my dad told me to bring her to Europe. But what would be the purpose to bring her to Europe ? Everyone is here for a reason.

I was in Ghana when I received the news about my brother Peter being seriously ill. I drove the fastest I could to Togo in order to meet him and help. When I arrived, my mother said I could not see him and I should just give the money and she would solve everything. Only God knows how much I gave her that day. People are saying I didn't do anything to save my brother, Peter. Am I a fool to drive 2 hours to Togo for nothing?

I organized a meeting in 2005 to solve our family issues. When I asked them about their opinion, they said I should build each family member a house and give each of them a monthly wage. Today I am still alive and they have already shared all my goods, just in case I die. For all these reasons, it took very long for me to set up my foundation in Africa. Every time I try to help the people in need, they had to question me and all of them thought it was a bad idea.

If I am writing this, the main purpose is not to expose my family members. I just want other African families to learn from this. Thank you

Buhari Meets With A Journalist He Jailed When He Was A Military Leader

President-elect Gen Buhari met with Mr. Tunde Thompson, one of the journalists he jailed for disobeying Decree 4 during his administration in 1984. Decree 4 was enacted by Gen Buhari to checkmate the authenticity of press reports, a policy many believed was against the freedom of speech. Both men met at a media parley the president elect had with his media campaign team in Abuja yesterday May 5th. Mr. Thompson now works with Gen Buhari's media team. Gen Buhari told him that jailing him, at that time was one of the challenges of his administration then. He appreciated his media team for carrying out a decent campaign for him during the election.

"I want to commend you especially for two things. First, is the decent media campaign you conducted despite the PDP's dirty tactics, you stayed focused on issues and avoided the temptation to sling mud. I thank you for your uncommon motivation to do the work. Despite the lean budget on which we ran our campaign, you did not allow the lack of adequate remuneration to stall the work at any point in time. You continued to give your best" he said.

IS Claimed Responsibility For Texas Cartoon Exhibit Attack

The Islamic State militant group took responsibility on Tuesday for a failed attack on a Texas exhibit of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad in which two gunmen were killed, with U.S. investigators probing the veracity of the claim.

The Syria- and Iraq-based Islamic State (IS) said on its official online radio station that "two soldiers of the caliphate" carried out the attack on Sunday in Garland, a suburb of Dallas.

U.S. officials said while the Islamic State's claim of responsibility for the failed Texas attack was being examined closely, investigators at this point did not know whether the dead militants launched the attack under instructions from the group or whether IS was opportunistically claiming credit for an attack in which it had little or no direct or indirect involvement.

One U.S. official said investigators believed it was possible, if not likely, that Islamic State played an "inspirational" rather than "operational" role in the attack.

The Forbes Five: Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artists 2015

See why Cassie can't leave? Lol. Forbes has unveiled its list of hip-hop's five wealthiest artists for 2015 and it was a big battle between Dr. Dre and Diddy.

After selling off his Beats By Dre headphone line to Apple, the super producer pocketed $500 million after taxes to bring his net worth to an estimate $700 million. Still, he's not the richest man in hip-hop. Diddy is, according to Forbes, with an estimated net worth of $735 million.

Diddy's empire includes huge stakes in his TV network Revolt, clothing line Sean John, alkaline water brand Aquahydrate, and new tequila DeLeon, while Dre's overall net worth is credited to the nine-figure payout he received from Apple's acquisition of Beats.

Jay Z comes in third with an estimated net worth of $550 million, due to assets such as Roc Nation and his Armand De Brignac champagne brand.
50 Cent comes in fourth with $155 million, hoping to repeat the success of the Vitaminwater sale, via stakes in the SMS Audio headphones line, Effen Vodka and Frigo underwear.

Closing out the list is Birdman with $150 million, due to the success of his Cash Money Records empire. However, his overall number is down from $160 in 2014, due to rumors that many of its big acts plan on leaving, most notably, Lil Wayne.

Now you know who the wealthiest hip hop artists are at the moment.

Senator Majority Leader Begs Jonathan To Reconsider The Suspension Of Perm Secretary

Deputy Senate Majority Leader, Abdul Ningi, yesterday begged President Goodluck Jonathan to reconsider his  suspension of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Danjuma Sheni who recalled Nigeria's envoy in South Africa  without a clearance from President Jonathan.

He said: "Knowing the anger and the mood of this country and believing that the Senate, and indeed, the National Assembly did the right thing in suggesting and urging the executive to recall the Ambassador, I, therefore, want this Senate not to look the other way but to urge Mr. President to temper justice with mercy.

"It is, indeed, within the president's responsibility, powers and jurisdiction and I think it's important at times like this that the Senate President, David Mark, should urge the president to temper justice with mercy so  that the permanent secretary is not dismissed. He did the wrong thing at the wrong time and he should not have done it because of the mood. So, the president, a humble man, should be lenient."

Amb. Danjuma Sheni thought he was doing the right thing but didn't consult the President first, hence his suspension.

An American woman, Megan Chapman (pictured above) who is the Co-Executive Director, Justice Empowerment Initiative, was locked up in the waiting cell of the Federal High court in Lagos this morning May 6th for using her phone during a court session. Megan who was in court for a fundamental rights suit her group filed against the Ojora of Lagos, Chief Abdul Fatai Aromire, started using her phone while Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia was reviewing the case brought before her.

This apparently is not allowed in court and was noticed by the presiding judge who immediately registered her displeasure and ordered that Megan be escorted out of the court room and remanded in the court waiting cell. She was held up for 20 minutes in the court cell and later released after much plea from lawyers and judicial workers. Narrating what happened to LIB, Megan said.

"The incident happened at about 9 am. I didn't know the rules of the court so I was replying an urgent message. It was not like I wanted to disrespect the court. The incident today only made me know the rules of the Nigerian law court. I was later invited by the Judge to her chambers and she accepted my apology. The prison officials were also nice" she said.

Bollywood Star Salman Khan Sentenced To Five Years In Jail For 2012 Hit-And-Run

Popular Bollywood star Salman Khan was today sentenced to five years in prison for killing a homeless man in a hit-and-run in Mumbai in 2002. He hit 5 homeless people, killing one and injuring 3 of them. Prosecutors said he was drunk at the time of the crash and had just left a bar.

His driver claimed in court last month that he had been the one behind the wheels and that the accident occurred after a tyre burst but a judge in Mumbai court today ruled that Salman was the one driving and not his driver after someone in his security team contradicted his driver's claims. Salman was sentenced him to five years in prison and was immediately taken into custody.

His family immediately went to a Mumbai high court to seek bail. Salman's lawyers said they plan to appeal the sentence. Meaning that the case will be in court for years. The prosecution is now set to move a perjury application against Salman Khan's driver for giving false testimony in court.

Salman Khan had left the shooting of a movie midway to attend the court hearing. The movie will have to be put on hold since he's in custody. The 49 year old actor who has featured in over 80 Indian movies is said to be worth about $40 million.

Four Men Who Beat Afghan Woman To Death Sentenced To Death

Remember the Afghan woman, Farkhunda, who was beaten to death by a brutal mob after being falsely accused of burning a Koran? An Afghan court this morning Wednesday May 6th convicted and sentenced four men to death for their role in her death.
The sentences were part of a trial of 49 suspects, including 19 police officers, over the March 19 killing of 27-year-old woman named Farkhunda who was beaten to death in a frenzied attack sparked by a bogus accusation that she had burned a copy of the Quran.
The trial, which began Saturday, only involved two full days of court proceedings - an unusual swiftness in the slow-moving Afghan judicial system. It was broadcast live on national television, reflecting huge public interest in the case.
A judge handed down the four death sentences at Afghanistan's Primary Court in Kabul on Wednesday. He also sentenced eight of the defendants to 16 years in prison and dropped charges against 18. The remaining suspects are to be sentenced on Sunday.

The defendants have the right to appeal their sentences. The charges included assault, murder and encouraging others to participate in the assault. The police officers were charged with neglecting their duties and failing to prevent the attack. Farkhunda's brother, Mujibullah, told The Associated Press that her family was angered by the leniency of the court toward the majority of the defendants.

"The outcome of the trial is not fair and we do not accept it - you saw just four people sentenced to death but everybody knows that more than 40 people were involved in martyring and burning and beating my sister," said Mujibullah, who like many Afghans, including his sister, uses only one name. "Eighteen people have been freed. The court should punish them and that should be a lesson for anyone who would commit this sort of crime, anywhere in our country, in the future," he added.
