Benue State Governor, Mr. Samuel Ortom, has promised to grant amnesty and monetary reward for those who willingly submit their illegal arms in the state.
Ortom had, in his bid to restore peace to the violence-prone state, recently proposed varying categories of cash rewards for those who submit their illegal weapons.
Speaking in Makurdi on Sunday, the governor also promised to train youths who embrace the amnesty.
