My president,

I bear my heart out in this letter with great respect and humility.

Often times I wonder if you read any of my open letters. However, I write this open letter so fellow Nigerians will understand the ache in my heart.

I was about 17yrs during the Nigerian civil war. My youth was scandalized, and since then, I have carried a big scar in my heart. All I saw around me then, was blood, death, and hunger. That war, which could have been avoided was a collateral damage for easterners. Over Three million people died - when it could have been resolved on a conference table.

Mr. President Sir,

Most Nigerians, are hopeless, helpless, fearful, aggrieved and have been brutalized by poverty created by the status quo to terrorize my people.

When you came on board I had hoped that yours would be a government that would assist the ordinary people; a government that will turn round the economy and put a smile on the faces of Nigerians.

No, I don't blame you for the woes that have befallen us, but, truth be told, you have so far spent too much time passing the buck than actually serving the people you struggled to lead. Two years is enough for us to start feeling like something would happen. I can't believe that as hard and as many times as you applied for this job and you finally got it, this is the best you can do? Haba, baba!

Now you can see the disadvantage of surrounding yourself with incompetent people.

I remember it was your wife who first cried out, warned us that you have been hijacked by the hyenas, jackals, and very suspicious people who don't really care about Nigeria or you.

Sir, as a father, please do something to calm down this rising tension.

As a father, it is very wrong to show your children that you have a favorite. Right now, it is clear that we are in a Big Mess. And sometimes I wonder if you understand how difficult it is for the masses to cope. People even from your village have complained to us (OurMumuDonDo movement); From Sokoto to Owerri, Benue to Delta, hunger everywhere, young people committing suicide, yet the legislators and executives still maintain their obnoxious lifestyle.

There is so much I want to say as a very frustrated Nigerian, but for now what's uppermost in my heart is to plead with you to intervene in this "Operation Python Dance" Biko Baba, you should be committed to dousing tensions and promoting peace and unity.

In as much as I am aware that the Federal Government is concerned about curbing divisive messages and inordinate agitations within the country, I believe it should be more concerned about safeguarding the lives and properties of all Nigerians in any part of the country.

It is also important to note that though recanted, the October 1 ultimatum issued by some misguided northern youths to the Igbos in the north remains weighty in the minds of many and the atmosphere is hypersensitive to any mishap that could foment such inter ethnic wahala.

Sir, suffering Nigerians are begging you to quell this tension than steaming up the flames of enmity and discord within the country by using force on harmless citizens.

During The Resume or Resign peaceful protest, Baba, you listened, and that's why you came back.

On behalf of all frustrated, hopeless, unsafe, hungry Nigerians I beg you, hear our prayer. As a Father show some compassion and give us hope that this too shall pass away.

I am proud to say that am discovering exceptional youths who are inflamed by love of fatherland, angered at the rape of our dignity and prosperity, determined to rise up and hold one another, to march down and uphold the dignity and prosperity of all Nigerians.

Baba, make Naija no spoil for your hand O!!!!!!

Nick Cannon is on the front lines of protests in St. Louis ... and he's doing it in a Colin Kaepernick jersey.

Nick was spotted taking to the streets Saturday with hundreds of others to protest the acquittal a white police officer who was charged with first degree murder of a black motorist, Anthony Lamar Smith, following a high speed chase in 2011. He was rockin' his usual headgear, and a black Kaep jersey.

The comedian isn't one to shy away from these sorts of demonstrations, he's been seen at many BLM
events, and was even hitting the streets last year in Cleveland. It's also no surprise he's sporting Kaep here; the QB has become the poster child of social justice as of late.

British police say they have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the London subway attack.

According to the police, the man has been arrested by Kent police in the port area of Dover on the English Channel. Deputy Assistant Police Commissioner Neil Basu says that it's a 'significant arrest'. He said the investigation is ongoing and the terror threat level remains at 'critical'.

'Critical' threat level means a government task force, that includes the security services, believes another attack may be imminent. Prime Minister Theresa May said raising the threat level to its
highest point was a 'proportionate and sensible step'. Police called on the public to be vigilant.

The man is being held for questioning under the Terrorism Act. He has not been charged or identified.

Over 14,000 Peoples Democratic members and supporters of a former national chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Ali Modu Sheriff, have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

This is even as APC announced that it would commence reconciliation visits to the state chapters of the party in the South-South geopolitical zones on Sunday, towards strengthening the party for victory in the 2019 general elections in the region.

The defecting Sheriff’s loyalists led by a former National Vice Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, said they were “suffocated out of the party through deliberate act of impunity which led to
the defeat of the party in 2015.”

The over 14,000 former PDP members were received by top members of the APC led by National Vice Chairman of APC, Mr. Hilliard Eta; Delta State leader of the party, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor; Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachukwu; and the state chairman of the party, Prophet Jones Erue, among others in Agbor.

Speaking during the ceremony, PDP former National Vice Chairman (South-South), Ojougboh, said since the Supreme Court judgment which ousted the Sheriff faction, the Ahmed Markafi national leadership had refused to reach out to them, hence their resolve to leave.

Uganda's health minister disguised herself as a patient and caught two medical workers demanding a bribe for free government services, she told AFP on Saturday.

Health Minister Sarah Opendi said she wore a face veil and travelled to a hospital in the capital Kampala on a boda-boda (motorbike taxi) to disguise her identity.

"I received many complaints that the staff at the hospital was extorting money from patients," Opendi said.

She went through normal patient procedures for some laboratory tests for which she was told to pay
150,000 shillings (35 euros, $40) "yet these are all supposed to be free".

"I told him I didn't have the money but he insisted."

She was then sent to fetch the testing strips from a nursing assistant, who asked for money as well.

"I paid her and thereafter I called in the police who arrested the two staff," she said of Friday's incident at the Chinese-built Naguru hospital.

Deputy hospital director Dr Stephen Kyebambe expressed gratitude to Opendi for arresting the staff members.

"The minister must be congratulated for unearthing this racket of extortionists at our hospital. We are grateful. Otherwise patients suffer in the hands of these cruel staff," he said.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday in Yola, reinstated the commitment of the Federal Government to keep one, indivisible Nigeria.

Osinbajo made the commitment while speaking at the reception in Yola in honour of the new President of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), the Most Reverend Musa Filibus.

The vice-president, therefore, urged Nigerians to sustain the unity which he said was the dream of the
fore fathers of the country.

According to him, Christians are encouraged to pursue justice and reconciliation with people of other faith.

While congratulating Filibus for being the first Nigerian and second African to emerge President of LWF, Osinbajo urged him to work toward uniting the church and promoting peace and love.

“It is our role as Christians to bind people together and we must do so by self sacrifice and love. “

The launch of Operation Python Dance II by the Nigerian Army has raised tension in the South East of the country, leading to reported deaths in Aba, Abia state, and disruption to economic activities. Diamond Celebrities talked with Nollywood Director, Tchidi Chikere to know his view on the issue, read what he said below;

Except the south east government make security in the region topmost priority…Igbos will not bring their investments back home and develop the south east.

Let us continue to make noise about secession..it will only cost us more igbo blood and worsen the distrust and hatred of Igbos .

Right now there is no plan no strategy nothing..just noise and petitioning the UN..like the UN doesnt have enough problems on its hands already…Syria…North Korea…Isis. Etc
It is ill timed…before camouring for any Biafra..first things first..and those things will determine if Biafra is a worthy venture or not. These days you fight with your brains..not your fist.”

An 18-year-old boy, got married to the “Love of his life” in a ceremony that happened in Aba, Abia State.

Also, a cousin to the “groom” shared the photos on Facebook, while wishing her “kid bro” well.

She wrote: “D lord doing …..join me to celebrate d newest youngest couple in town….am so glad you guys said I Do today…God bless your marriage my amiable kid bro…. Enjoy…”

A journalist who visited the residence of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB in Umuahia, Abia state capital earlier today - has shared pictures from the area which has been deserted following the military invasion in the region.

According to Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who accused the Nigerian Army of declaring war on Mr. Kanu, the soldiers forcefully gained entrance into Nnamdi Kanu's house after shooting for about 40 minutes. His entrance gate was broken and forced open in a bid to arrest the IPOB leader.
