Woman ‘Filmed Friend Being Raped & Posted It On Snapchat After Row Over A Man’

A woman allegedly filmed her unconscious friend being raped and posted the footage on Snapchat after they argued over a man.

Beth Rae Harris is accused of encouraging at least one man, possibly more, to rape the 23-year-old woman after she passed out drunk in her apartment.

Harris, 36, from West Ridge, Chicago, is charged with nonconsensual dissemination of sexual images.

She is being held at Cook County Jail and her bail has been set at £116,000. Harris and the victim are
believed to have argued over a man they met at a party on the night of August 24.

They made amends before going to a club and a hotel party where the victim drank heavily, prosecutors said.

They later returned to Harris' apartment where the victim passed out.

Harris is then alleged to have encouraged at least one man to rape the woman while she filmed it.

The victim told police she woke up the next morning naked and sore. She later discovered videos of her being raped posted on Snapchat, prosecutors said.

Harris was identified as being the individual who filmed and shared the footage. She allegedly appears in one of the videos, insulting the victim.

She was arrested and charged on Thursday.

Authorities in China have tightened their grip on the country's churches by ordering that children are to be banned from joining religious groups.

The ban also prohibits children from attending religious sermons and other activities in several provinces across the country.

Control on the country's churches began several years ago when places of worship were ordered to remove crosses from their buildings in Zhejiang province

Earlier this month, over one hundred churches in Wenzhou, China's Zhejiang province reportedly
received a notice from government officials informing them that young people will be banned from entering churches, according to a report.

Minors are also reportedly banned from participating in religious activities.

Members of the church were told not to participate in religious activities and churches were not allowed to organise a youth summer camp.

Africa richest man and billionaire businessman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has declared that he has no interest in politics, advising that politicians and political parties should leave him alone and stop dropping his name.

Dangote, who is the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dangote Group of Companies, specifically warned that nobody should set him on a collision course with President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The business mogul stated this while reacting to The Daily Times exclusive report that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its leaders are mounting pressures on him to come and contest for the
2019 presidential election on its platform.

Dangote said: “I am not interested in politics and this is authoritative. No member of any think tank committee has contacted me.

People should stop dropping my name for the 2019 presidency. “This whole thing is an attempt by people who do not like me.

They are doing all these with a view to putting me on a collision course with President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling party. They are people who are jealous of the successes I have so far recorded in business.

“My passion is for business development, provision of jobs and wealth creation, not politics. “I have never shown interest in politics. Am not interested in politics. I am not a politician. My passion has always been business and business. “Buhari is like a father to me. Nobody should try to set me on a collision course with President Buhari. That will not work. I have high regard and respect for the President.

“For emphasis once again, I am not a politician. I can’t and won’t confront President Buhari. They should leave him out of any high wire politics and horse trading.

I also seize this opportunity to warn name droppers to desist from their infamous act. They should stop using my name for politics. They should not set me on collision course with President Buhari and the government in power”.

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has branded judges in the country's Supreme Court "crooks" after they annulled his win in presidential elections.

He earlier called for calm and said he would respect the ruling but struck a more combative note at a Nairobi rally.

The court cited irregularities in last month's election and ordered a new one within 60 days.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has said that Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu is bigger than President Muhammadu Buhari, saying ”…Nnamdi Kanu is bigger than Buhari.He is a real lion.’

Fani-Kayode on his twitter handle also wrote that he had learnt that soldiers and police men have been deployed to the South east in preparation for the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu.

Answering this question; Why are you against calls for the rearrest of pro-Biafra agitator, Nnamdi Kanu? Yinka said;

To start with, experience has shown that arrest cannot resolve the question of self-determination. Two
years ago, who knew Nnamdi Kanu? Maybe he was just on the Internet or Radio Biafra. But when he was arrested and detained for over a year he became popular. You realise today that when he is addressing crowds in the South-East, thousands gather and follow (him). They (government) made him popular. If they rearrest him, they are going to further popularise him and bring into focus the issues he is fighting for. Why don’t they deal with the issues, solve the nationality question and render his achievements ineffective? His arrest will not resolve the matter. Even if they sentence Kanu to death today, another person will rise — once they refuse to resolve the matter. Continue...

On the other hand, when you talk about the rule of law, that lady that symbolises justice is blindfolded. The essence of that is, she is no respecter of persons — she delivers justice to whomever offends the law. But then, you begin to go after Kanu and some people get up in Arewa land to say leave our land. The Kaduna governor says, ‘Go and arrest them.’ The vice president says, ‘Arrest them.’ The minister of interior then says, ‘No, they said they were misquoted.’ The thing the minister said they were misquoted on, they sat with governors from the North to say they were suspending the order (notice to quit given to Igbo in the North), and they were holding a press conference in Sheraton.

In fact, one of the (Arewa) youths, when they were looking for them, said, ‘If I’m declared wanted, I will give myself up.’ Even (for security agents) to invite them for a 30-minute chat and let them go, they didn’t do that. When you refuse to do that, you create problems for the rule of law; you show that there’s a double standard. That is not how to build an inclusive country. Not that we endorse everything that Kanu is doing, but we are saying in order not to overheat the polity, what we need now is (for the Federal Government) to address the issues that have given rise to agitations. If we begin the process of restructuring this country, the separatist groups will be at bay. But if we don’t address these issues, you’re giving them, added energy.

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has boasted that Nigeria will burn if he is rearrested by the Federal Government. Kanu made this declaration in an interview with The Sun newspaper.

He asked why those calling for his arrest have refused to call for the arrest of the coalition of northern youths who gave the quit notice to Igbos to leave the North before October 1.

Asked if he was afraid of being rearrested for flouting bail conditions, Nnamdi Kanu said:

“I don’t care! Quote me verbatim. If I’m rearrested, this country will burn, I assure you.

”From where that oil money they depend on, they can no longer have access to it. I assure them that. This is not empty threat.

”We’re IPOB, we don’t abandon our own.

The Biafra gadfly also talked on the Anambra governorship election slated for November. He said it is the people’s civic responsibility to boycott the Anambra elections, adding that a “total and absolute boycott” will be implemented.

Kanu said the support he has gotten from his tour of “Biafran territory” has never been replicated by anyone, not by any visiting dignitary, Head of State, political or religious leader.

On President Muhammadu Buhari‘s speech upon his return from his over 100 days medical vacation, Kanu said he doesn’t believe the president wrote the speech.

Kanu said he still has plans to visit Lagos and Kaduna like he stated he would.

“I have a lot of friends in Lagos and Southern Kaduna too. When the time comes, I will visit those places.

”You spoke about my security, but I’m telling you that I’m not living any more. What you are seeing is but an empty shell that is only seeking for Biafra.”
