Villagers have been left absolutely stunned after a cow was born with two heads in their town.

A calf born with two heads has stunned farmers in a small village. The animal was born from a cow who has given birth to three healthy calves in the past, Mirror Online reports.

And it would likely have been dismissed by villagers, they say, had they not seen it with their own eyes.

A farmer, Gan Yuanhua said: "I heard the cow shuffling around and making odd noises in the shed, and I knew she was about to give birth."

From his home in Shaijin Village in Linshui County, in south-west China’s Sichuan Province, he said he initially thought the cow had given birth to twins when he saw the two heads and did not realise immediately that it was a mutation.

The cow, who seemed to be unaffected by the fact that it was deformed, reportedly died shortly after birth.

Pictures from Gan’s farm show him with the two-headed calf.

Xu Kaiwen, a local vet who has been practicing for 30 years, said the calf’s condition was caused by a genetic mutation which has yet to be identified.

The unusual condition of being born with two heads is called polycephaly and occurs in both animals and humans. The most common cause is that two identical twins begin to form from the same egg, but do not separate correctly and end up sharing the same body.

In the majority of cases, animals and humans with polycephaly die soon after birth.

Breaking: EFCC Arraigns a Senior Advocate of Nigeria for Obstruction of Justice

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly blocking its path in administration of justice.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Rickey Tarfa, has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged unlawful obstruction of the course of justice, Punch reports.

Tarfa was arraigned today on two counts before Justice Aishat Opesanwo of a Lagos State High Court.

The senior advocate was said to have committed the offence on February 5, 2016.

In the charges, the EFCC alleged that Tarfa hid two financial crimes suspects – Gnahouse Nazaire and Senoue ‎Modeste – in his car to prevent the EFCC from arresting them.

He was also accused of having an unlawful telephone conversation with a judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Mohammed Yunusa.

Tarfa pleaded not guilty to both counts.

Justice Opesanwo stood the matter down for 10 minutes to rule on Tarfa’s bail application.

Unbelievable! Footballer Shoots Referee Dead on the Pitch After He Was Given a Red Card (Photo)

A footballer who was enraged after he was shown a red card during a football match, has shot the referee dead in anger.

A soccer match ended in tragedy when a young player shot and killed the referee after he showed him a red card for a foul.

The match took place on Sunday in the Campo de la Ribera area of Cordoboa, Argentina. The referee, Cesar Flores, 48, was killed after being shot three times - once in the head, neck and chest, according to police.

A report by MirrorSport, says the referee showed the assailant a red card for making a heavy tackle on an opponent. The player, who is at large, then retrieved a gun from his bag and shot Flores three times. He also wounded another player, 25-year-old Walter Zarate, before fleeing the scene.

Walter Zarate, was taken to hospital, though he is not in critical condition.

"It all happened during the match,” a police spokesman said. “We don’t know what happened with the referee but the player was angry and went to get his gun and killed him.”

As the Peoples Democratic Party gets set to name a new national leader of the party, governors and other chieftains of the PDP are on a manhunt for a former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Governors and other chieftains of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are reportedly on a manhunt for a former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, in their bid to make him the party's national chairman.

According to Premium Times, a meeting of the national caucus of the PDP is currently holding in Abuja, after which the National Executive Committee would meet at the Wadata Plaza secretariat of the party by 2:00p.m. on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the Ex EFCC boss was tipped for the chairmanship position last year, shortly after the then chairman, Ahmadu Muazu, resigned from office. The move which was reportedly championed by governors elected under the party, was thwarted by the National Working Committee (NWC), under the interim leadership of Uche Secondus.

It was learnt that Ribadu who had earlier agreed to take the offer, also abandoned it on account of "lack of seriousness to truly reform the party by its top echelon," but spirited attempts over the last few days by some top party chieftains, is persuading Ribadu to accept to chair and transform the party.

A source who revealed to the publication said some of the party’s governors visited Ribadu in a last minute effort to get him to change his position. He was however, said to have stuck to his guns.

"Since midnight yesterday, party chieftains led by a governor from the South-south region began a search for Ribadu, to no avail. The ex-EFCC chair was said to have gone incommunicado since last night, making all attempts to reach him impossible," the source said.

He also said at least four governors of the party and other chieftains are currently waiting at the Bayelsa governors lodge in Maitama area of Abuja, scrambling to reach Ribadu.

"Mr. Ribadu is skeptical of taking the PDP job because of the battered image the party has suffered, especially with current corruption probes. He is also not confident that the party’s bigwigs would tolerate his radical disposition," a source disclosed to Premium Times.

News reporters have been unsuccessful in reaching Ribadu for hours. His telephones are switched off the several times our reporters called.

His spokesperson, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, when contacted, said he had not been able to reach Mr. Ribadu in the past two days.

A man who is crazy about reptiles has a large collection of huge snakes and he has no problem allowing his three children to play with them.

A father allows his three young children to play with his 19ft-long python and huge lizard collection - despite the fact they have been bitten in the past.

Mirror Online reports that the man, Eric LeBlanc, is a reptile enthusiast who owns hundreds of lizards and snakes . He recently had to move dozens of the apex predators into his home when a fire at his reptile store killed some of his animals and injured many more.

Despite the danger the animals could pose he has no problem allowing his three children Erica, three, Larry, four, and Katie, seven, to handle them.

“The worst bite my daughter got was from a bearded dragon,” said Eric. “My son got bit in the forehead one time by a ball python when he was around two-years-old. He opened one of the tubs after me and basically startled it – the python jumped up and bit him on the nose.”

43-year-old Eric is in the process of repairing his decimated reptile store and is trying to raise his three children to have no fear of reptiles – particularly while many of them are living with him.

He added: “They make great pets. They don’t have fleas and are low maintenance so you don’t have to take them to a vet regularly like a dog or a cat. I have Shelby a seven-year-old albino lavender reticulated python – these are some of the biggest snakes in the world.

“Obviously the bigger the snake the bigger the teeth, so it’s dangerous – but Shelby is very placid. She is over 19ft long and believe me I know what she is capable of. When you hold her you can feel her moving you – she is like one big muscle.

“When she is playing with the kids she really pulls them. They can really feel the strength of her – you’ve got to have total respect for these animals and that’s what I have.”

Despite having a laidback attitude to his children being around the animals he insists they are completely safe and would never leave them unsupervised.

Eric added: “In this country everybody has an opinion. Some people think it’s safe for kids to shoot guns. I won’t let my kids shoot guns but I’m comfortable with them being around reptiles – I guess we’re all pretty individual in how we bring our children up.”

And he believes in an old school rough-and-tumble approach to parenting.
“My kids have been bitten by pythons and dragons but they’re always fine,” added Eric. “Growing up I was bitten by snakes, dogs and lizards but my biggest accident was when I fell from a tree – anything can happen – kids will be kids.”

But there are some snakes Eric won’t allow near his children.

He added: “Every animal has a different temperament just like people – but these guys are giants who can do a lot of damage. My children have been taught how to approach them and can definitely tell if one of the animals is agitated.

“They’re really learning and know the difference between lots of different pythons and different kind of rattlesnakes – they absorb everything.”

 Erica, Larry, and Katie appear to love their unconventional upbringing and have no fear of their pet reptiles.

Katie said: “I like snakes because they can be kind and gentle with you. They are nice and they don’t really try to turn around and strike at you.

“You have to start timid with them and hold it free. You need to be relaxed and know that it’s not going to hurt you.
“At first they may try and strike at you but once they know you don’t mean them any harm they’re really nice.”
