A picaro has learnt a bitter lesson of his life after a failed attempt to swindle a trader in a heated market area.
The man pictured above was caught while trying to run away with the two bags of rice he bought with with fake money in Abaranje Lagos.
The middle-aged man was beaten by a group of angry youths who threatened to lynch him for the criminal act amidst a period of economic recession in Nigeria.
It is not clear if the culprit was handed over to the police.
