Since Prince died at his Paisley Park home in Minneapolis a week ago, hundreds of calls have been received from people claiming to be the either a child of Prince’s or offspring of Prince’s father.
Now, mystery Minnesota man has contacted heir hunters at Heir Hunters International claiming to be the singer’s secret love chid. It’s understood that the man who is in his 30s, claims to be the product of a fling that occurred the mid 1980s.
The claim comes just as Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson filed paperwork on Tuesday in a Minneapolis court saying Prince has no known will and requesting to be appointed executor of his estate. Worthy of note is if this ‘love child’ turns out to be the singer’s offspring, then he will take all of Prince’s inheritance.
The love child stands to inherit Prince’s estate, including his $10million Paisley Park mansion in Minnesota if his claim turns out to be true.
Otherwise, without a will, Minnesota law states that Prince’s estate would go to his sister and his half-siblings. They would be the ones to control his brand, including Prince’s NPG record label and thousands of unreleased songs. As for Prince’s parents, John L Nelson and Mattie Shaw, they are dead. The music legend is survived by half-brothers and half-sisters, whom Nelson names in her petition as ‘interested parties’ to the Prince estate.
