Sani made this known when he visited the boy at the paediatric ward of the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, Zaria.
"What I have seen was pathetic. I had to shed tears. I have pledged to sponsor the treatment of this boy. I have asked the doctors to search around the world for a suitable place where the boy can receive the best treatment, and I will sponsor that, no matter how much it would cost," Sani said.
The father of the boy, Usman Isa Auta, confirmed the promise made by the Senator, saying that about ten individuals and organisations, including the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, have also made the same pledge.
Kaduna state government under the leadership of Nasir el-Rufa'i has also pledged to sponsor the education of the boy.
