For those who do not know him, the biological father of Genevieve Nnaji’s baby is a socialite named Dotun Oladipo popularly called Acura by his people in Egbeda area of Lagos.
Before he relocated to the United States, the man was said to have impregnated Genevieve Nnaji at a tender age of 15.
It is now over 21 years, Acura is yet to return to assume the position of a father to Genevieve Nnaji’s only daughter.
Why Genevieve Nnaji Gave Up Her Child For Adoption When Her Father Rejected Her
The good news is that Genevieve Nnaji gave up the child for adoption when her father refused to forgive her for getting pregnant at such a tender age.
When she gave birth to Chimebuka aka Lily, Genny knew that embarking on that journey of independence with an extra load- a baby, wouldn’t be an easy one, so she began to look for an alternative, and that was how she met the man (name withheld) who had been married for some years without any fruit of the womb coming from his wife, and the man adopted Genny’s baby to enable Genny go into the world to hustle for survival, and that was it.
It may interest you to know that Genny’s daughter still lives with the man and his family in Lagos mainland, though she is now a third year student in one of the private universities in Lagos
She calls the man and his wife dad and mom. And what I cherish most about this whole issue is how Genny and the family that adopted her daughter had been managing to keep it cool, clean and free of drama plus media publicity. But then, why won’t the man be loyal when Genny had been helping to get him contracts because he is a contractor? In fact, Genny had been more than a blessing to the man. The man’s comfortable financial status today owes tribute to Genny’s fame in the Nigerian movie industry.
So if you think Genny is living and training her daughter, then you are very WRONG!
Why Genevieve Nnaji Is Yet To Remarry
Genny had confessed in previous interviews that the fear of ‘failing in marriage’ was the only reason she’s yet to marry. She’d been alleged to have dated Ayo Makun, D’banj, a former vice president, and the latest man to have been romantically linked to the screen goddess, Ishaya Bako, a 29-year-old film director and entrepreneur.
The two first met when, Genevieve relocated to Abuja from her Lagos house two years ago. Bako has allegedly involved Genevieve in most of his major business deals which include his vast real estate business in Abuja. Bako was also alleged to have funded and directed Genevieve’s latest movie, ‘Road to Yesterday’.
